Tucked away in upper Belltown, above a hip cafe, you’ll find a unique boutique hotel experience that speaks to the spirit of Seattle.
The interior is stark white, but a fascinating selection of vintage furniture pieces, flea market curios, and clever design elements gives the space a lively feel.
We’ll be frank, this hotel is for a specific clientele, and it’s not the champagne and caviar from room-service crowd.
It’s more for the crowd that wants to grab champagne and caviar from the nearby Public Market and enjoy it on the top bunk of a pine bunk bed surrounded by fairy lights.
The Ace Brand has a proven history of gorgeous out-of-the-box boutique hotels that are sometimes a bit too big to feel personal.
Here, they found a good building to renovate into a stylish, intimate space that works as well for them as it does for Seattle.

Standard rooms come with shared bathrooms, kept meticulously clean by hotel staff and well-stocked with local Rudy’s Barbershop bathroom amenities.
Deluxe rooms have private bathrooms, some with exposed-glass showers that particularly shy guests should probably know about.
The rooms themselves are comfortable, well-designed, and fun to be in. TV, desks, and extra shelves are tucked into corners, providing all sorts of cool storage spaces.
Most rooms have sinks, bright metal straight on the walls, giving an exposed artist-loft ambience.
Furniture is either locally made or vintage, walls are often whitewashed brick, and each room has its own blankets and one-of-a-kind art pieces.
You’ll have your own style for your stay, but everything is united by a certain air of laid-back cool that you’ll want to try to copy as you’re out in Seattle’s streets.
What are prices like?
And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Dining: A sunny breakfast room with a good spread and excellent coffee.
- Nearby Food: Unaffiliated café/restaurant on the first floor for lunch, dinner, and happy hour.
- Facilities: Limited on-site amenities, focused on being a straightforward place to sleep and hang.
You won’t find many amenities at this boutique hotel – Ace is a pretty straightforward place to sleep and hang.
They do have a lovely, sunny breakfast room where you can enjoy a good morning spread and, of course, excellent coffee.
You’re in the birthplace of snobby coffee, you know.
There is a convenient but unaffiliated café/restaurant on the first floor where you can enjoy lunch or dinner near the hotel.
It’s a fairly typical mix of imaginative burgers, tacos, and clever pasta dishes all in a relaxed atmosphere.
Check out the happy hour if you want to start your evening a bit early.
How is the neighborhood? Anything interesting nearby?

- Walkability: Close to diverse eateries, hip bars, and major attractions. A 15-minute walk to light rail stations for city-wide access.
Even without an on-site restaurant, you’ll be fine. Home of The Crocodile, a famous venue that is, incidentally, a two-minute walk from the hotel, Belltown is the place in Seattle for nightlife.
Diverse eateries are scattered around the area, and there’s a hip bar around almost every corner.
In the daytime, too, you’re in a great spot. A short walk from the waterfront, Centennial Park and The Olympic Sculpture Park are to the north.
The Seattle Aquarium, Pike Place Market, and the boat terminals are just a short walk south.
You’re not too far from light rail stations that will take you up to Queen Anne and Capitol City.
Westlake especially connects to multiple different lines taking you throughout the city, and is a 15-minute walk from the hotel.
And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
”Cutest little hotel! Loved the stay here! It was a short stay but very pleasant. Staff were amazing, and were very friendly! Very accommodating. Loved that they wanted us to have the best experience. Gave us a list of some of the nearby restaurants and cafes, along with a map of downtown. My friends and i decided to check out Macrina bakery and cafe, from the list of recommendations and i must say it was delicious! The room was very neat and clean. We loved the beds, they were very comfy. Bathrooms were nice loved the provided hair and body wash. I overall was very happy and satisfied with my stay. I will definitely be coming back wherever i come back to Seattle! Thank you staff, i appreciate you and your kindness towards my friends and I. 10/10 would recommend!….”
”I stayed for a business trip. It isn’t your typical hotel but that was a selling point. The room had post-modern academia core vibes. I felt right at home. The staff were friendly. My room was peaceful. The breakfast had great options and excellent coffee. Amazingly it was the best coffee I had on my trip…..”
Some things guests didn’t like:
”It was a little noisy at night due to it being the weekend and all the bars around, but it stopped around 2am, which was fine for us. Parking was slightly tough on the weekend, but we managed to get a spot 2 streets down….”
”My rate did not include the daily $24 service charge. That is dishonest and should be part of the quoted daily rate….”
