The Wythe Hotel is one of Williamsburg’s most well known boutique hotels. It’s housed in a converted 1900s barrel factory — one of New York’s last masonry-and-timber buildings, and still showcases lots of exposed brick, steel, and original architecture. Rooms are high-ceilinged and light-filled, with large factory windows that showcase Brooklyn or Manhattan views. Food & drink venues include Bar Blondeau on the sixth floor, which has the full on Manhattan skyline out its windows, and the cocktails to go with it. Le Crocodile then is at ground level. William Vale is, pretty unusually, a high-rise boutique hotel in Brooklyn. From the outside it looks like a bit too much architecture project-y, but inside you just get wowed by the uninterrupted floor-to-ceiling views across Manhattan and the East River. It has 183 rooms so this hotel is bigger than we’d normally like ’em. But much else went in its favour. Rooms are pared-back, with pale woods, white walls and modern balconies. Up top, Westlight delivers the hotel’s most recognisable scenes: those involving rooftop cocktails and sweeping views of Manhattan…. > Read Our Full Review

The Hoxton, Williamsburg by the East River combines the neighbourhood’s raw industrial heritage with more gentle, modern design. Stone, steel and expansive windows are balanced by natural woods, greenery and welcoming looking communal spaces that attract locals as well as guests. The Hoxton is pretty much woven into Williamsburg neighborhood life. Just as any good hotel should be. We particularly like the rooftop skewer house, where charcoal-grilled dishes and cocktails are served alongside Manhattan panoramas. Rooms are compact, this is NYC after all, but cleverly designed and with floor-to-ceiling windows,… > Read Our Full Review

The Hoxton Williamsburg doesn’t fit in too well into brownstone or converted factory Brooklyn. It’s modern, colorful and quirky, and packs in plenty of playful, contemporary energy. Its 118 compact rooms have a New York studio feel: bright interiors, smart layouts and kitchenettes. It’s not about scale here, and the rooms under 250 square feet are a reminder of that, but the rooftop and shared spaces are central to the hotel experience. El Nico, the rooftop restaurant, brings Mexican-inspired plates and agave cocktails alongside Manhattan views, while the hotel’s collaboration… > Read Our Full Review

We described 42 Hotel Williamsburg as ‘pretty nondescript from the outside,’ and ‘kind of a big brown box with windows.’ Not exactly fulsome praise then but we still love this Brooklyn boutique hotel. Because inside the mood shifts greatly. Dark tones, brass details, concrete surfaces and carefully placed lighting create a unique post-industrial aesthetic that somehow feels warm and friendly. The 60 rooms pair black, white and gold accents with large windows, modern tech and practical comforts. We’d particularly recommend the Superior Rooms for the extra space and broader Williamsburg… > Read Our Full Review
