Hotel De Verdun 1882

Hotel De Verdun 1882 nicely mixes historic Lyon charm with a more contemporary boutique hotel style. The interiors are centred around a stunning 19th-century staircase and beautifully curated vintage detailing. This cosy hotel feels more like a stylish home than a traditional stay, with character-filled common spaces, comfortable rooms and thoughtful local touches. Located in Carnot-Gailleton, it puts guests within easy walking distance of Vieux Lyon, Bellecour, excellent restaurants and Lyon’s main attractions.

Hôtel de l’Abbaye

Hôtel de l’Abbaye brings contemporary boutique style to one of Lyon’s most historic neighbourhoods. It adds sleek luxury hotel interiors to the historic intrigue of a 17th century era former convent building. Located beside the beautiful Saint-Martin d’Ainay Basilica, this elegant hotel offers stylish rooms, warm service and easy access to Vieux Lyon and the Rhône. Its biggest draw is L’Artichaut, a Michelin-starred restaurant and one of Lyon’s very best dining experiences.

This sleek boutique hotel sits on the top of Lyon’s most lovely hill, Fourvière. It’s contemporary at its finest, yet it actually fits into the fabric of this old city surprisingly well. Villa Florentine

Villa Florentine is a stunning boutique hotel set inside a restored 17th-century convent above Vieux Lyon. It’s high on a hill, has fabulous views over the city and works perfectly as a peaceful urban retreat. We find it has loads of historic character along with timelessly refined interiors. The overall experience feels more like staying at a private, hilltop residence than a traditional hotel. But you can also enjoy Michelin-starred food in a stunning dining hall, and wonderful luxury spa facilities.

Les Suites de l’Ile Barbe

Les Suites de l’Ile Barbe are a tiny collection of gorgeous suites in a former Abbey on an island on the Saone. The island is privately owned, making this this arguably the most secluded boutique hotel in Lyon, and, with only 3 rooms it feels very intimate. The setting is just delightful; sun kissed gardens sprinkled with the Abbey’s old stone walls, chirping birds and peacocks. Les Suites de l’Ile Barbe aren’t for anyone hoping to be in the thick of it. There is a bridge from the island, but… > Read Our Full Review
