Casa de Solana B&B

There are plenty of cute B&Bs in central St. Augustine, but we like the all-in extra of this historical hotel. The house is fairly simple, an oyster shell lime “tabby house” in an unobtrusive pale pink. Inside, however, you could really watch the walls for hours. The common areas are the real standouts, coated in wall paintings and stuffed with antique elegance. The dining room is bright and friendly, with wood beams and a strangely casual atmosphere for such a beautiful property. A friendly staff helps with this as well… > Read Our Full Review

The Saint Augustine Beach House

You might have to plan ahead to snag a room here, but the Beach House, on the southernmost tip of Vilano Beach, St. Augustine, is worth the effort. It’s a super-intimate boutique hotel that sits right next to the water, the perfect place for a sand-based St. Augustine stay. It’s nothing super fancy, so if you need an onsite spa and an Aperol Spritz hand-delivered to your beach chair, we’ll send you somewhere else. The general vibe is that of a B&B, with a well-loved breakfast offered daily to guests,… > Read Our Full Review

Casa Monica Resort & Spa

This historic St. Augustine boutique hotel is part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection. Florida architecture requires a bit of a ‘when in Rome’ perspective, and once you get over the Playmobile-esque take on luxury accommodation, it’s very charming. This hotel in particular is one of the stalwarts of the area. An 1888-built courthouse-turned-hotel, Casa Monica has been welcoming guests to Matanzas Bay for over a century. It’s one of the reasons the area is bustling with tourist activity the way it is, with a long history of exceptional service and new-money… > Read Our Full Review

Haley’s Court Boutique Motel

One of our favorite boutique hotel trends is the remodeled retro motel, and we’d like to present this Vilano Beach, Florida gem as justification. With a property dating back to the 1950s, Haley’s Court does an excellent job of combining the old and the new. There’s a sort of contemporary retro (oxymoron, we know) to the decor that complements original architectural details like the superb roadside sign that welcomes guests on arrival. It’s all been done up in pink and teal, which seem to be the hip St. Augustine beach… > Read Our Full Review

The Collector

This historic boutique in Downtown St. Augustine, Florida is on par with many of the city’s more expensive brands, and it’s much more intimate to boot. A small property packed with style, this museum-turned hotel is a testament to the staying power of St. Augustine’s storied past. It comprises 9 different historical houses, each with its own story. The hotel offers tours of the property throughout the week, and there are plenty of nearby sites to explore. But it’s not just for history buffs. Amenities, decor, and service are all… > Read Our Full Review
