Seattle’s Pike Place Market is so iconic that the surrounding area is basically named after it. With a stay at the Inn at the Market, you can claim this famous place as a temporary home.
The perfect boutique hotel for history buffs, foodies, and Seattle-lovers in general, it is so centrally located you won’t be limited to the Pike Place area at all either.
You might not be tempted to leave the market once you’ve entered though. You’ll be housed on top of a lively labyrinth of gourmet shops, artisan stalls, high-end grocers and established wine shops.
Elegant color schemes set alongside modern sleekness give a friendly minimalism to the entire hotel.

Rooms range from single Kings to double Queens, all a relatively roomy 320-380 square feet.
One-bedroom suites provide extra room for those who need it, but wide windows and clean design make even the smallest rooms feel comfortable.
Categorized by view, you’ll pay premium for a room that offers a full vantage point out towards Puget sound.
This is fair, since watching the ferries move across the water from a custom-made bed draped in Sferra linens can really zhuzh up a vacation.
All options offer the same stylish coziness, however. You’ll have giant floor-to-ceiling windows in every room, and the city views are nothing to scoff at.
TVs offer in-house film selections, Keurig coffee machines greet you in the morning, and you’ll have access to mini fridges and honor bars no matter where you stay.
Bathrooms have straightforward white decor that amplify their spaciousness, and lighted mirrors that make putting on your face a breeze.

And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Dining: Bacco Café provides in-room service; on-site dining include Chef Kashiba for sushi & Café Campagne for classic French fare.
- Facilities: A rooftop deck with panoramic views, in-room massage services, full salon experience in the courtyard.
- Convenience: Valet parking is available for a fee, and a town car service is provided.
The main restaurants within the market are at your disposal for the duration of your stay.
Bacco Café heads the in-room service with delightful American Breakfast favorites that lean heavily on the Dungeness crab. It’s not to be missed.
In truth, we recommend heading downstairs for all meals, as the Pike Place atmosphere is pretty impossible to beat.
Chef Kashiba offers a selection of outstanding sushi in the Courtyard with fantastic views of the market.
Café Campagne is a classic French Brasserie tucked around the corner in the bustling Post Alley.
There are reasons to stay on the upper floors, however. The rooftop deck offers panoramic views of the gorgeous Puget Sound.
Take your morning coffee up to watch the start of the day, or order a class of wine and bring it up for the sunset.
Massages services are also available in-room, though you’ll have to head to the courtyard for the full salon experience at Shine Salon. Unsurprisingly, the best of Seattle is just an elevator ride away.
Parking is available for a fee, and we especially love the town car service, which makes moving through the city blissfully easy.

And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
”Location and views from rooftop terrace with fires are exceptional . Lovely comfortable beds . Clean and lovely bathrobes . Can walk to bars , restaurants . Recommended bars by reception staff . Left a coat and had to go back to get it several days later . Staff could not have been more helpful…..”
”You couldn’t get any closer to the heart of Public Market than this beautiful hotel!! It was right smack in the middle of everything you could want or need! Walking distance to the Space Needle and the water front. The staff was SUPER nice and helpful! The room was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend!!…”
Some things guests didn’t like:
”Little things: 2 hard soaps would be good, one for sink one for shower. Also, the cleaner took away (replaced) my half used shower gel – for sustainability I would prefer it was left to finish, and a 2nd one left to get to if need be. On rubbish facilities, a bit clearer on compost and recycling? Little things – super experience!…”
”Bottled water should be complimentary. It was very inconvenient to have to go purchase water outside of the hotel when we spent as much as we did on the room….”
