This nature-forward boutique hotel near central Mykonos offers 5-star accommodation to high-class hippies.
Boheme Mykonos isn’t technically adults-only (13+ are invited to stay), but it’s still designed for peaceful getaways.
There will be no squeals and wails of toddlers and babies. We think even teenagers can achieve a relative state of chill when faced with the breezy exteriors and endless sea views.
There’s a lot of the typical Mykonos vibe here: whitewashed walls, ubiquitous patios, poolside lounges. Still, Boheme has a name to uphold.
Thatched roofs, textured ecru fabrics and painted stone abound. The pool area is some combination of amphitheatre and cave, with small cushioned nooks carved out of the surrounding stone.
It’s a bit contrived, of course, but we like how the squeaky-clean attempts at roughness look with the waves behind them.
The on-site garden adds some lush romanticism that many hotels on the rock island lack.
There’s a timelessness to it all that matches perfectly with the Mykonos-centric Bohemians brand.

All you’ve got here are Suites, so don’t fret too much about room basics. The smallest option clocks in at 25 square metres, with a king bed and stunning views.
Larger rooms offer a few more luxuries, like plunge pools and hot tubs. Views of the garden rival those of the sea, full of colourful bougainvillea and gently swaying palms.
And, of course, the prime suites have some special features. There’s a 45 square metre Grand Bohemian Suite with a full-on open patio complete with a plunge pool and dining area.
Decor is as you might expect. There’s little bright white that’s not on the walls, but everything else is either some form of gray or a black accent. Wooden furnishings are untreated and rustic.
Colour is reserved for the sea, the flowers, designer beachwear, and the odd butterfly.
Every option includes a minibar, espresso machine, LCD TV, speaker system, robes and slippers for the sunny patio.

- Bilo Bar – a casual spot for drinks and refreshments, complementing the hotel’s laid-back poolside atmosphere.

A simple breakfast is included in the room fare, but many guests find themselves disappointed by the simple and relatively limited fare.
Still, once the morning is through, Bilo Restaurant, and its little friend, Bilo Bar, are on track to fill your bellies.
There’s a type of hotel restaurant with a star chef aiming for Michelin-level recognition, but this is not it. This is smart yet casual cuisine favouring grandma’s recipes and fresh ingredients. More poolside flair than fine dining.
It makes for a great go-to, but if you want a tasting menu and wine pairings, check with the concierge for other chic restaurants. There are plenty nearby.
Other facilities are primarily open-air. There’s a small gym where you can work up a sunny sweat, and a space for massage services in a breezy, welcoming wellness area.
If you prefer a little privacy, a masseuse will be happy to come to your suite. Personal yoga instructors can also lead you through some seaside stretches.

The neighbourhood is mostly great for being close to the centre of Mykonos Town. The walk isn’t super-easy, as the road to Little Venice and the Old Port is light on the shoulder.
Still, it’s walkable, and most vehicles in the area are used to pedestrians. A taxi or rideshare shouldn’t be too hard to find.
Once you’re in the centre, it’s easy to get around. The clubs around the coast are easy to bop between, and walks among the windmills a delight.
There’s also plenty to explore directly nearby. A handful of tavernas, a nearby beach and plenty of other sleek hotels spring up within a 10-minute walk.
There’s even a vehicle rental just down the street, if you feel like venturing out around the island. Just grab a scooter and get zooming.

Some things guests didn’t like:
”A little more complimentary water in the room would have been appreciated.
The main drawback was the lack of privacy between the bedroom and bathroom area….”
