Amyth is a super-lux, adults-only boutique hotel, in Agios Stefanos, Mykonos, a relaxed distance from the busiest parts of the centre.
It’s a lazy days around the pool before stepping out in your finest come evening kind of place.
Spa services, sea breezes and sleek design make it easy to sit back and let the good life happen to you.
The hotel belongs to Thanos Hotels, a small chain focused on the Greek Islands.
Even with the Boho-chic design scheme, there remains a spot of corporate sheen to their places, but nothing we can’t handle.
Mostly it manifests in top-quality macramé and grass-related decor, but if you’re an intimate B&B type this isn’t the place.
This is more staffed private villa vibes, but that said the staff are exceptional, thorougly friendly and professional
What are the rooms like?
- 17 rooms – accommodation consists mainly of luxurious suites, alongside a smaller selection of Comfort rooms.
- Sea-view suites – the standout choices offer beautiful Aegean views, making them particularly appealing.
- Private indulgences – selected suites feature jacuzzis, bathtubs, or private pools, with the Delos Sea View Suite a particularly attractive option.
- Boho-chic interiors – slate-grey tones, natural textures, woven lampshades, linen throws, and soft off-white fabrics.
- Luxury amenities – quality linens, minibars, streaming-enabled TVs, Bluetooth speakers, robes, and espresso machines.

Accommodation at Amyth is mostly Suites, with only a few ‘Comfort’ level rooms.
If we’re honest, and budget isn’t a factor, we wouldn’t bother with the rooms.
Not because they’re bad at all, it’s just the Suites have sea views which just transforms the whole Mykonos experience.
They may all have the same top-quality linens, furnishings, and tech, but no amenity beats the Aegean out your window.
Some suites also have jacuzzis, bathtubs or pools to be enjoying the views from.
Our watching the sea from the bath with wine in hand fantasies bring us to the Delos Sea View Suite, but there’s something for everyone, as long as you enjoy indulging yourself a bit.
The decor is similar throughout, a slate-gray, nature-forward kind of elegance.
It’s a bit predictable for a high-end island boutique, but we’d say that grassy lampshades and linen throws are classics for a reason.
Among the array of off-white textiles you’ll find a minibar, TVs with the apps you want, Bluetooth speakers, robes, and espresso machines.

For those of you who imagine days lounging by the pool, Amyth offers an ongoing stream of lunch, dinner, and snack options. Drinks are plentiful, the bar open from 8 until midnight.

How is the neighbourhood? Anything interesting nearby?
- Agios Stefanos – a relatively peaceful hotel-oriented area away from the busiest parts of Mykonos Town.
- Nearby beach – Agios Stefanos Beach is less than 10 minutes away on foot, with a handful of restaurants close to the waterfront.
- Mykonos Port – the nearby port makes arriving by ferry and arranging island excursions particularly convenient.
- Easy airport access – Mykonos Airport is less than 20 minutes away by car.
- Mykonos Town – the island’s main centre, with its restaurants, shopping, and nightlife, is around a 10-minute drive away.
Most of Amyth’s charm is onsite, in our opinion. Agios Stefanos is inundated with hotels, but you’ll be at one of the very best.
Of course, there’s the beach, and the port.
It’s rather small, and the views can be obscured by ships, but if you want some sand under your toes, it’s less than a 10 minute walk. A sprinkling of restaurants make it easy to grab a bite by the sea.
Coming and going also couldn’t be easier, with the Mykonos Port minutes away. The airport is further, but still less than 20 minutes by car.
The location also makes day trips (and night trips!) simple.
No crazy back roads as you make your way back home, just a 10-minute drive to the centre of Mykonos Town.
And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
“The property was incredible, so beautifully designed. The rooms were great too and we were fortunately upgraded. The views from the property were amazing too. The staff were exceptional, especially the manager, Angela. We received the warmest welcome from Nicolas and Angela complete with a welcome drink. The staff could not be more helpful to us. This hotel really understands luxury and customer service….”
Some things guests didn’t like:
”When you order a taxi you should be in touch with the driver and guide them to go a little bit higher, most of the GPS applications show the hotel is located just one road below so sometimes it’s a bit annoying, whether you can just walk down (it’s very close but steep) or just tell them to drive a bit higher. Besides that everything’s perfect!….”
