William Vale is, pretty unusually, a high-rise boutique hotel in Brooklyn. From the outside it looks like a bit too much architecture project-y, but inside you just get wowed by the uninterrupted floor-to-ceiling views across Manhattan and the East River. It has 183 rooms so this hotel is bigger than we’d normally like ’em. But much else went in its favour. Rooms are pared-back, with pale woods, white walls and modern balconies.
