This lodge on the outskirts of the Park City golf course is a stately, classic option for anyone staying in the heart of Utah’s ski country.
As part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, the standards of luxury, comfort and service are high and consistent.
The building is set on the edge of the slopes, offering either snowy scenery or foresty, rustic charm.
Exposed wood beams, stone fireplaces and cushy leather furniture give the cozy ski-lodge warmth we all love.
It’s not a place that’s going to blow anyone’s mind, but the boutique-y intimacy and a superb location make for a sweet mountain vacation.

With all the wood and leather, the beige outfitting of the rooms feels a bit redundant, but it’s a warm palette, and we’d call it friendly, if not very thrilling.
It’s an all-suite hotel, which is always fun, and you won’t have to worry about being shoved into a miniscule corner room with no windows and an en-squeeze bathroom.
Nope, our smallest option is a 500 square foot Executive Suite, while Presidential and Penthouse suites can run up to 1800.
Cottages are a fun choice; though you have to walk a bit to get to some of them, the privacy is something special.
They all include Eastern king beds, leather sofas, fireplaces, LCD TVs and Bose sound systems.
The living areas are designed with light in mind, and most will have private patios or balconies.
A Keurig coffee machine will help you greet the day, and most units also have some kind of kitchen facilities, so you can make your own breakfast, if that’s your thing.
Many bathrooms have jetted tubs, and all provide plush robes and luxury amenities.

And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Dining: Ruth’s Chris Steak House (meat/seafood) and Bandannas Grill (casual).
- Spa: Treatments, steam rooms, saunas, small gym.
- Relaxation: Heated outdoor pool and hot tub.
- Food quality: Solid but not gourmet.
Dining is quite American, as Utah’s favorite Ruth’s Chris Steak House is attached to the hotel.
It’s very meat-heavy, but with a nice selection of seafood options as well.
For breakfast, we’ve got Bandannas Grill, a more casual option that also offers burgers and sandwiches at lunch and dinnertime.
They’re both solid options, but not a once-in-a-lifetime gourmet experience.
More exciting is the spa, a small labyrinth of treatment areas, steam rooms, saunas and even a small fitness room.
Any and all kinds of relaxation are found here, including just a simple man-pedi. It’s the perfect option for anyone spending afternoons on the slopes.
If you want a more simple way to relax, the heated outdoor pool and hot tub is a nice option.
How is the neighborhood? Anything interesting nearby?
- Town: Park City is a charming ski town with independent restaurants, cafés, theaters, boutiques.
- Activities: Year-round golf, fishing, hiking, biking; winter sports galore.
- Olympic history: Park City was a 2002 Winter Olympics hub.
- City access: Salt Lake City is 40 minutes away.
The location is one of the most exciting aspects of the hotel. Park City is a cute ski town that’s worth a little time spent.
There are plenty of restaurants, including independently-owned options in walking distance.
Cafés, theaters and boutiques are also easy to get to, and make for a fun downtown outing.
If you’re looking to get out of town, that’s pretty easy too. Fun is available year-round. Obviously the easiest is a nice round of golf, but there’s access to fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and more.
Of course, in winter, snow sports are the name of the game. Park City was one hub of the 2002 Winter Olympics, and there’s plenty of games-themed tourism to enjoy, along with all the skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing you could wish for.
Salt Lake City is roughly 40 minutes away, a nice outing if you feel like you want to have a taste of city life.
And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
“Easy to check in and out. Great location, friendly staff, and a gorgeous room. Perfect getaway…”
“Loved the location. It was quiet when we arrived. The room was clean, spacious. Loved the robes, multiple shower heads, kitchenette, and patio….”
Some things guests didn’t like:
”The shower and bathtub leaked, everything in the cottage was outdated, and of course, the bed was deeply uncomfortable. Absolute trash breakfast at the RUTH’S CHRIS STEAKHOUSE attached to the hotel. That detail alone was a huge red flag when we arrived. Overall, 5k for 3 nights of crap service and amenities….”
”No hot water one day….”
