TL;DR
- Ranch retreat: Set on 3,500 acres of private Utah ranchland.
- Auberge luxury: Outdoorsy vibe balanced with pampering service.
- Mountain views: Low buildings and wide windows highlight scenery.
- Private cabins: Adults-only Creek Houses offer seclusion.

This Wanship, Utah boutique lodge sits a bit outside Park City, on a cozy piece of Utah ranchland.
Blue Sky is the name of the 3,500 private acre, self described, adventure ranch, which caters to more outdoor adventurer types.
The hotel is part of the Auberge Resort Collection though, so expect to be very much pampered too.
The luxury standards are all there, the rest then is a chic take on the classic lodge.
A bit of rustic charm is lost, but we’d say the swathes of windows looking out towards the Uinta Mountains more than make up for it.
Low, tiered buildings allow for views at every level, a cluster of adults-only cabins give super-private options, and the entire effect is one of breathtaking tranquility.
If you want powder, it might behoove to stay closer to Park City, but if you’re looking for relaxation with ranch land at your fingertips, this is it.

The main Sky Lodge hosts 19 rooms and suites, with the Sky Room your most simple accommodation. They’re roomy spaces, in King or Twin Double, with private terraces and living areas.
And that’s the least luxurious option. There are two types of One-Bedroom Suite in the Sky Lodge, along with the super-lux Two-Bedroom Suites.
These offer a host of extra luxuries, including a dining area with exclusive in-room dining options, soaking tubs, multiple patios, even airport transfers.
Earth House Suites lie just a quick walk from the Lodge. These feature private terraces with outdoor fireplaces.
Creek Houses are clearly made for couples, adults-only One-Bedrooms with private terraces, soaking tubs and lounges with fireplaces.
Included with all options is the typical Auberge guarantee of comfort: lovely linens, inoffensive yet chic decor, seating areas.
Custom-made bath amenities feature locally grown sage and mineral-rich salts from the Great Salt Lake. That’s not typical Auberge, but it’s a nice touch.

Under 10s eat free, and there’s a bar area for those not interested in a full-on gourmet meal. An award-winning wine list will set off any of the casual bar offerings.
Once you’re fed and watered, there’s more than enough to do on the resort. Multiple pools will keep the water-beings happy, extensive trails are available for biking, hiking, and horseback riding in the summer.
There’s an option to tour the ranch on a 4×4, and bike rentals are free.

The most relaxing, for some, will be the Children’s Club, where your spawn can socialize, and you can take advantage of the 24-hour fitness center, or the wine tasting room, or any of the many available spa treatments.

There’s not much of a downtown, but a handful of nearby restaurants and access to the Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail give you a reason to get off the resort, even just for an afternoon.

And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
“This was the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. I never wanted to leave! The entire staff here is incredible – they go above and beyond!…”
“This is an absolutely spectacular property staffed by the most helpful, caring people you will ever find. The property is both completely remote yet 30 min from Park City. The drive up is a bit disconcerting at night but certainly safe and doable….”
