It’s a clean-lined, super-hip hotel in Downtown Fargo that’s long been lauded by hotel reviewers.
It’s a hub of a certain type of lifestyle, a building shared with luxury apartments and plenty of posh shops.
We’re not always huge fans of the hotels attached to luxury apartments, but there seems to be enough distinction here to make everyone feel comfortable.
The layout does an excellent job of threading the needle between old-fashioned Midwestern and contemporary.
It’s buttery leather next to fairy lights, bright and airy yet still velvety-soft.
Service is more-or-less uniform, making for a casual cohesion that reminds you that you’re being taken care of without rubbing it in your face.
At the end of the day, if you like things shiny, new, and comfortable, there’s no better place to end up.
What are the rooms like?
- Number of rooms: 125
- Contemporary comfort: with floor-to-ceiling windows and crisp sheets
- Variety of layouts: King Singles, Queen Doubles, Deluxe Kings, and Suites
- Well-equipped: with blackout curtains, mini-bars, robes, and 4K TVs
- See all the rooms in detail here
Rooms are more contemporary than midwestern, in the grand scheme of things, but they have a certain down-to-earth quality they certainly didn’t get from Manhattan.
The floor-to-ceiling windows are doing the Lord’s work, letting plenty of sunlight stream onto the crisp Sferra sheets.
Colors are rich blues with cleverly chosen bold accents. We’d love to hate the lime green sofas, but it’s just not happening.
They add just enough youth to what would otherwise be a fairly straightforward hotel’s hotel room.
There’s plenty of variety, with standard King Singles and Queen Doubles. Deluxe Kings hang out in the corners of the building, full of light and sporting incredible views.
There are also a handful of Suites to enjoy, for our friends that like a little extra space.
Only one of them is significantly larger than a Deluxe King, but the windows in the Panoramics definitely give a roomier vibe.
All rooms are well-sorted with blackout curtains, mini-bars, robes and 4K TVs.

And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Onsite dining: at Rosewild from breakfast through dinner
- Lounge and café: for casual workspace or drinks
- Events & meetings: available in designated spaces
- Fitness & wellness: 24-hour gym with Peloton, cardio, weights, and a sauna
The hotel offers a great mix of food and relaxation, starting with Rosewild, the onsite restaurant.
It’s open breakfast through dinner, with a lovely weekend brunch. The menu isn’t going to blow any minds, but it’s crafted with care and a deep interest in the local.
We think the midwestern fare will keep you full and happy throughout your stay.
There’s a lounge and café area for a more casual experience, not a bad place to get some work done. A handful of event and meeting spaces are available as well.
All guests are welcome at the hotel’s fitness center, which includes Peloton, cardio machines and weights.
Our personal favorite touch is the sauna, perfect after a short stint with the weights.
How is the neighborhood? Anything interesting nearby?
- Prime location: in Downtown Fargo near top attractions
- Walkable culture: Fargo Theatre, Plains Art Museum, Hjemkomst Center, and Rourke Art Museum
- Nearby food & drink: Broadway area, Brewhalla, and Drekker Brewing Company
The location is one of the best in the city.
Broadway, especially North Broadway, is the cultural and event hub of the city, and you’ll be surrounded by some of the top attractions in the city.
The gorgeous 1926 Fargo Theatre is just around the corner, as are a bunch of the city’s top culinary spaces.
Broadway Square can be hit or miss (usually weather-dependent), but if you come at the right time, you’ll find an excellent event space in the hotel’s backyard.
Everything else should be more or less walkable.
The Plains Art Museum is under 10 minutes away, while the Hjemkomst Center and the Rourke Art Museum are more like 20 minutes on foot.
If you want more of an adventure, you can either take a car to one of Fargo’s famous Applebee’s (the highest concentration in the region!) or check out the area around Brewhalla and Drekker Brewing Company.
You could even walk there, but it depends on your tolerance for one-story office buildings and warehouses as scenery.
And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
“Pretty. Loved the bar/restaurant in the lobby and the pool table and comfortable atmosphere. Loved that it is pet friendly. Rooms were very clean and pretty….”
“The room was incredibly comfortable. The mattress, pillows, and linens were really high quality, and I was most impressed by the thoughtful lighting in the room. The dimmer switches on the bedside lamps and in the restroom were a nice touch. Good design choices were made. Conveniently located downtown, it’s a quick and easy Uber ride from the airport….”
Some things guests didn’t like:
”At a hotel like this, I expect to have coffee-making abilities in the room. The free coffee in the lobby was much appreciated, but I’d gladly pay a slightly higher room rate if it meant I had a Nespresso in the room. But this is the only downside of an otherwise 10/10 experience….”
”Location I’m not a big city driving fan so that’s on me not the property….”
