We think you’ll find it a very Vermont experience – simple and effortlessly stylish, with zero pretensions and a welcoming air.
You can be out and about in the fresh Lake Champlain air all day, and in the evening find yourself in the natural comfort of crisp white sheets and warm wooden accents.

And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Communal pantry: with coffee and tea
- On-site restaurant: Juniper with Kid’s Menu, brunch, chic cocktails
- Locally-sourced food: New England flair with umami and kimchi options
- Fitness facilities: 24-hour gym with Peloton bikes, yoga studio, Pilates
We love the communal pantry, where you can find coffee and tea, but it’s not the only spot for some local goodies.
The on-site restaurant, Juniper, is a darling spot designed to make everyone happy. Ask for the Kid’s Menu, check out the all-week brunch, or just head for some chic cocktails.
We were extra impressed by the long list of nonalcoholic cocktails on the menu.
The food is locally-sourced, primarily, with lots of New England flair mixed with some serious umami.
There’s a whole lot of kimchi, so we hope you’ve got your spicy hats on.
If you’d like to indulge, the 24-hour hotel gym, with Peloton bikes, is a step above your average treadmill-filled basement.
There’s also a charming yoga studio for a more relaxing practice, or even a kick-ass Pilates mat routine.
How is the neighborhood? Anything interesting nearby?
- Spa: Jivana Green Spa on Church Street
- Pedestrian area: Church Street with shopping, restaurants, Ben & Jerry’s
- Historic neighborhood: Five Sisters with post-industrial vibe, breweries, cafés, Farmer’s Market
- Nearby attractions: Caffe Kilim, Street, Liar’s Bench brewery, La Mulita Coffee, Seaport Fish, Beach Plum, Burlington Farmer’s Market
- Lake exploration: easy to navigate by car or bike, surrounding nature
If you’re looking for a pamper, we recommend braving the 8-minute walk to Jivana Green Spa on Church Street.
Indeed, Burlington tends to revolve around Church street, which means your finger will be right on the pulse.
It’s a pedestrian-only walkway lined with shopping, restaurants, and local legend Ben & Jerry’s.
We’d also recommend branching out a bit. The Five Sisters historic neighborhood near the south has a vaguely post-industrial vibe that contrasts well with the upscale tidiness of downtown.
You’ll find some breweries, cafés, and the Farmer’s Market, a perfect spot to buy ingredients if you’d snagged a room with a kitchenette.
Even if you haven’t, we’d give Burlington Farmer’s Market one of the top spots on a list of interesting things to see.
You’ll get prepared food from around the world, beautiful vegetables and flowers, and lots of homemade goods.
Grab some locally-produced candles or soaps for a nice souvenir.
If you’ve got wheels, we’d also say take some time to explore the lake. It’s not hard or stressful to get around Burlington, and the surrounding nature is seriously special.
And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
“Probably the nicest and best hotel experience I have ever had. The lighting and ambiance from the lobby, bar, room floors, and rooms themselves was absolutely gorgeous. Water and coffee available on every floor, comfortable rooms with updated HVAC systems, nice shower, clean everything. An absolute dream. Even the restaurant’s food was legitimately fantastic….”
“Excellent hotel, would go back with no hesitation. Modern, clean and comfortable. It deserves all the good reviews it gets….”
Some things guests didn’t like:
”Our only complaint was there could be a few more brighter lights, especially in the bathroom….”
”Room could have an extra luggage stand….”
