This Uptown Dallas boutique hotel is a lovely departure from the shiny-building-white-wall vibes of many of Dallas’ luxury options.
ZaZa is a small chain of Texas hotels with a general vibe of quirky elegance.
They do an excellent job, however, of blending into their neighborhoods, and each one feels at least a little like it belongs.
In this case, we have a decidedly upscale kind of boho, like your best friend’s ex-hippie mom who married a climate change denier and now winters at a large beach house in Florida.
Beautiful patterns abound, full of velvety couches and antique lamps and rooms full of tasteful photography.
It’s not as consistent in design sense as many other hotels, but it works in their favor. Instead of committing to a single style, the different spaces provide different experiences.
Hang out in your posh room, book a themed concept suite, head to the easy-breezy poolside, or the sparkly, sultry restaurant.
It’ll be hard not to find something you like.

There are plenty of choices when it comes to accommodation; your personal space can be whatever style you like.
There’s a lovely balance between the quiet elegance of the guest rooms and the all-in glam of the concept suites.
Guest Rooms are the most straightforward, sumptuously decorated with dark woods and plush curtains.
They have King Singles and Doubles, with or without balconies.
The Concept Suites are the real showstoppers, a collection of themed rooms coated in luxurious takes on whatever vibe the designers deemed interesting.
Choices include the leather, stone wall and bullhorn-ed Texas Suite, the velvety Erotica Suite, and the cluster of bright patterns of the West Indies Suite.
All rooms feature fully-stocked minibars, TVs, blackout curtains, some kind of seating, and an area to work, if such a thing is on your to-do list.
Depending on your booking, you’ll enjoy soaking tubs, balconies, living rooms, and more.

- On-site dining: Dragonfly restaurant offers all-day meals with a chic Bohemian vibe.
- Poolside bites: Drinks, snacks, and sunshine by the pool.
- Wellness: Fitness center and full-service spa with treatments and cocktails.
The luxury doesn’t stop at the rooms. For food, you can enjoy all three meals at the charming restaurant, Dragonfly.
The patterned booths give a Bohemian atmosphere, next to clusters of lights and a gleaming bar.
The cuisine is American, but chic, with a giant list of delectable small plates featuring all our favorite flavors.
If you find the idea of a dining room stuffy, head to the pool. Here you’ll get cold drinks and great snacks and lots of Texas sun.
There’s a fitness center on-site for those who need to keep the routine going, and full full-service spa for those who want to go all-in on the vacation vibes.
Treatments for the skin, face, and muscles are ready for you to enjoy, with a small menu of snacks and cheeky cocktails.
