TL;DR
- Style: A retro, 70’s disco-inspired motel with a bold throwback aesthetic.
- Atmosphere: Poolside and communal spaces create a party-like, social vibe.
- Charm: Quirky details and bright patterns make it a nostalgic, fun stay.
- Location: On the northern outskirts of East Nashville, near but not in the main city hub.

Holy disco balls! This renovated boutique motel on the outskirts of Nashville, Tennessee, is a love letter to retro.
If you don’t tend to swoon over pastiche design, this might not be for you.
The building (a 1956 motel) shows its age, amenities are not excessive, and neighborhood attractions are sparse.
If, however, 70’s disco and retro throwback is your thing, it’s a bit of a mecca situation.
You’ll have shag carpets, you’ll have fuzzy blankets, supergraphics and bold patterns, all in shades of pink and orange and red.
Common areas are slightly toned down, but still, very clearly, have the same aesthetic.
Room bookings are blocked off during the winter, though the hot tub is open year-round, and they seem quite open to special rental requests.
Indeed, there’s a sort of community party vibe that will not be everyone’s cup of tea.
In our opinion, even if you don’t stay here, it’s worth a day pass to hang at the pool, meet the people, and have a groovy time.
What are the rooms like?
- Number of rooms: 23 rooms in total.
- Style: Retro-inspired with murals, geometric wallpaper, and disco lamps.
- Features: Mostly no-frills but with unique touches in every room.
- Room types: Cabin Kings, Queen Doubles, Honeymoon Suite, and poolside options.

With an enthusiasm that sometimes borders on gimmicky, the owners have outfitted each room in a unique retro-inspired style.
There are hand-painted murals on some walls, others have insane geometric wallpaper, and a good majority of the beds are covered in fuzzy duvets.
They’ve installed disco lamps that turn on in response to the in-room radio, which is potentially annoying but fun at heart. Shag carpeting is an ongoing theme.
To this they’ve added some nice amenities and most rooms have a cool feature to be excited about, but they’re openly “no-frills.”
No need for TVs when you’ve got a pool party outside.
Cabin Kings are the most affordable, and the least aggressively colorful. There are Queen Doubles for groups, and many room options are poolside.
Our personal favorite is probably the Honeymoon Suite, for the side-by-side soaking tubs in the middle of the living room.
But really, whatever you book will be interesting, boldly curated, and a very short walk from the pool.
What are prices like?
And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Main attraction: The pool is the focal point for relaxation and socializing.
- Dining: Onsite bar and lounge plus occasional hot dogs, snacks, and pop-up food vendors.
- Vibe: Calm, sultry areas inside contrast with the louder retro communal spaces.
The main draw is obviously the pool. It’s a genuinely lovely place, all whitewashing and bright murals and cute little umbrellas.
We like to think this is the kind of place you’d find in a real-world Peach Beach, sipping on a spritz while watching the karters zoom around the sand.
Of course, no sand, but it’s the feel of it all. And we bet the princesses would love the hot tub.
The onsite bar and lounge sits in the “lobby” (check-in office) and is open to the public.
It’s an attractive space, one of the calmer, more sultry areas of a hotel that is otherwise super loud. We’re talking green leather and low lighting and checkerboard floors.
There are hot dogs and snacks any day that doesn’t have a pop-up food vendor, which can range from burgers and fries to Cuban delicacies.
The downside is that the kitchen is closed when the food trucks are open, meaning food options can be a bit unreliable.
How is the neighborhood? Anything interesting nearby?
- Area: Non-central, with sparse neighborhood attractions.
- Safety: Some guests report feeling unsafe at night.
- Access: Driving is recommended to reach Nashville’s main attractions.
- Nearby: Broadway, Ryman Auditorium, Country Music Hall of Fame & Johnny Cash Museum all 10–15 mins by car.
The location is the most obvious downside.
Some guests reported it feeling unsafe to wander around, though this is just not a wandering around area.
There’s not much going on beside a few other (cheaper) hotels, motels, and random businesses along a highway.
If you’re sensitive to non-central, non-residential neighborhoods, this might not be it.
Even if you feel super comfortable, we wouldn’t advise walking, just because it’ll take a while to get anywhere interesting.
Once you’re driving, though, it’s not too far, and the parts of Nashville, Tennessee you’ll want to see are relatively walkable.
Broadway is a 10-minute drive, and from there you’re just walking around looking at the honky-tonks and deciding where to have a beer.
The more cultural spots are going to be more like 15 minutes, but the Ryman Auditorium, Country Music Hall of Fame, Johnny Cash Museum and the National Museum of African American Music are still easy to get to.
Five Points, the most central spot of East Nashville, is only an 8-minute drive. There are plenty of cool spaces to eat and bars to visit around there.
And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
“Loved staying here! The vibes were perfect for my birthday weekend. Can’t wait to stay here again in the future…..”
“This is a solid little place. 10/10 vibes. The in-room stations are great… never thought I’d hear a track from a James Marcel Stinson side project in a hotel…”
Some things guests didn’t like:
”Docking a point from the room because the mini split only goes down to 68 and I like to keep the temp at “Ice Planet Hoth” levels while I sleep….”
”The area is a little less than desirable, however. Every Uber driver we had told us how dangerous the area was at night. We didn’t feel unsafe during the day….”
