Just a few blocks off Broadway, the, laid back but fun, Nash Hotel (formerly known as Bobby Hotel) has just enough gimmicky grunge to make you feel slightly rebellious.
It’s definitely leaning into the rock and roll of it all, with a sultry, almost leathery glamour that fits well with the mythos of the city.
It’s somewhat masculine, but also cheery and welcoming. They rely on neat cityscape murals, weird egg chairs, gold accents, colorful design elements and lots of fairy lights (yup!) to balance things out.
The Nash all adds up to a generalized appeal that nobody is going to have a hard time enjoying.
It’s got an old-time rock and roll, basement bar and a classier rooftop bar with great views.
And, if you really like bold design with lots of shiny things, leather, and an edge, it just might be your dream hotel.
What are the rooms like?
- Number of rooms: 144
- Room types: King Singles, Queen Doubles, Deluxe, Suites (Studio, One-Bedroom, Two-Bedroom)
- Style: Semi-sexy rock chic with quilted headboards, dark red and dark wood
- Amenities: Amazon Echo, smart TV, seating area, minibar, rainfall showers
- See each room in detail here
Rooms start at King Singles and Queen Doubles, with quite a nice variety of options. There are some with balconies, Deluxe rooms that measure over 500 square feet, and accessible options.
A Corner King is always our soft spot, and this one is a combination of balcony and deluxe, to which we say a hard yes.
Of course, there are Suites for those who like divisions of space. The Studio has some clever divider work, and the One-Bedrooms sport separate living rooms.
The Two-Bedroom is basically a completely swish apartment with a pool table we certainly never had when we had roommates.
Decor is the same kind of semi-sexy rock chic, with quilted headboards and plenty of dark red next to dark wood. The carpets aren’t doing anyone any favors, in our opinion, but they could be worse.
Whatever you choose, you’ll have a host of modern amenities to keep you occupied when you need to take a break from the Nashville scene.
Each room includes an Amazon Echo, smart TV, seating area, minibar, and some pretty excellent rainfall showers.

And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Dining: Café (coffee, pastries, café fare), Rooftop Lounge (snacks, yard games, drinks), Garage Bar (neon-lit basement bar), Union Tavern (locally inspired small plates, entrées)
- Drinking: The latter three have all got atmosphere and provide a bar crawl in a hotel.
- Wellness: Spa with massages and wellness services, 24-hour gym
As much as we’re sure you’ll want to explore Nashville’s bar scene, there are plenty of options at the hotel, and some are pretty excellent.
To start, we’ve got the Café, a ground-floor offering with a street-side patio where you can start your day.
It offers coffees, pastries, café fare, and even a few adult beverages if you stop by in the afternoon. Or morning, what do we care?
For more fun, head to the roof. The Rooftop Lounge is a super relaxed spot with yard games, picnic tables, and plenty of snacks and beverages.
For more grungy nightlife, hit up the Garage Bar, a basement-y number with neon and beer and a jukebox.
Finally, we’ve got the main event for food, the Union Tavern.
They serve a selection of locally-based small plates and a selection of entrées and sandwiches.
It’s rare to find a boutique hotel in Nashville that offers full on, in-house wellness, but the Nash does.
The Spa at the Nash has a great range of massages and wellness services, and there’s also a 24-hour gym.

The lobby and outside area of cafe for breakfast were also lovely and the rooftop bar had a great vibe. The location is great – walking distance to broadway but less busy/noisy. There is a lovely restaurant next door (Sinatra) and a great little live music venue (Bourbon St Blues bar). We will definitely stay here again….”
