ARRIVE Memphis is an outpost of Palisociety in the lovely arts district of South Main, Memphis,Tennessee,
The boutique hotel brand is known for hip design, a bit on the maximalist side but with a deft hand for glamour.
They’re dedicated for melding the hotel with its environment, favoring renovated buildings, and this is an excellent example.
It’s a cozy version of post-industrial, an old brick number without much historical clout, but with a great location and a lovely facade.
Everything inside is set up for the ultimate Memphis-inspired comfort. Much of the artwork is locally commissioned, and the lobby café and bakery is open to the public.
It’s these elements of engaging with the neighborhood that, in our opinion, makes a top-notch boutique hotel; this is something that Palisociety understands.
You can trust in the brand here, and enjoy your step into the inner heart of the Home of the Blues.

Rooms have an airy, relaxing quality to them, with plenty of interesting architectural details.
Exposed brick is used to great effect, giving a casual air to something that might otherwise feel a bit too polished.
The patterned wallpaper and the patterned tile complement each other without even bothering to try and match.
The linens are cozy, and a basic black/white system to the furniture lets the more subtle colors soar.
Room types start at 300 square foot King Studios, with Deluxe options with special views and Bigger Studios that run closer to 400 square feet.
Double Doubles have a similar ambience, with a little more space than the singles, but we’re not convinced it’s enough for a group that doesn’t already get along quite well.
The Suites feature separate living areas with seating and lovely working areas, beautifully decorated and a great option if budget is only a minor concern.
Anything you choose will have Bluetooth speakers, desks, mini fridges, Apple TVs, and hotel-branded robes.

And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Dining: Hustle & Dough café/bakery for breakfast and lunch; Bar Hustle for evening cocktails.
- Specialties: Sourdough menu, pizzas, extensive cocktails.
- Hotel amenities: Peloton-equipped fitness center; Field Guide for curated local experiences.
The bottom floor is the neighborhood-friendly Hustle & Dough, offering a sourdough-centric menu of savory and sweet breakfast and lunch options.
It’s set up with many comfy chairs and the impression of a posh hairdresser’s waiting room (like, the kind with champagne and nothing but the latest edition of Vogue).
When the afternoon starts getting old, the party moves over to Bar Hustle, the hotel’s nighttime hang.
The bakery provides the goodies for the bar as well, with many of the lunch offerings putting on their evening wear to show up on the bar menu. Delightful pizzas are a highlight.
The cocktail menu is definitely extensive, and we recommend spending at least one evening trying a couple of the offerings before heading out into blues land.
If you’re done eating, drinking, and dancing and still looking to work off energy, there’s a Peloton-equipped fitness center on site.
The Palisociety staple, the Field Guide, is the perfect accompaniment to any adventure, an easy way to curate the perfect Memphis experience.
How is the neighborhood? Anything interesting nearby?
- Location: South Main, Downtown-adjacent with galleries, music venues, museums.
- Walking distance: National Civil Rights Museum, Blues Hall of Fame, Beale Street (25 min walk or tram).
- Driving distance: Midtown Zoo & Museum of Art ~15 min; Graceland ~15 min.
The location is a great choice for this kind of hotel. It’s not the center-center Memphis, but South Main is a Downtown-adjacent area with plenty of places to visit, and multiple cultural offerings in walking distance.
You can walk less than ten minutes to the National Civil Rights Museum, Blues Hall of Fame, and a small selection of galleries, art spaces and music venues.
The famed Beale Street Entertainment District is a 25-minute walk, also accessible by tram. It’s a pedestrian-friendly space lined with restaurants, bars, museums, music halls, and more.
Once there, you can explore the rest of Downtown. The Riverboats can get you on the water and over to Mud Island Park for a visit.
You’ll want to head to Midtown for the Zoo and the Museum of Art can be found in Midtown, which will be more like a 15-minute drive east. It’s a great place to spend a day sightseeing and shopping.
If Graceland is on your list, it’ll be a 15-minute drive south. There’s not much to do around it, but for many of course, it’s a must-see.
And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
“Gorgeous looking hotel, very stylish and in a great location for the sights of Memphis. Food was excellent and the bar was a really nice place to hang out. The staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful….”
“What a genuine gem! Loved the location – just enough off of the FAST pace and hustle, but an easy walk to the Beale Street. Some charming restaurants are within a block or two of the hotel. The vibe in the lobby which housed a cafe and a bar is delightful! Easily a place to travel with another couple or family as the lobby is eclectic with many seating options for cozy comfort and some intimacy for visiting! Would stay again in a heartbeat! ALL staff were extremely nice….”
Some things guests didn’t like:
”Really needed to have free/cheap water easily accessible all day and night. It was extremely hot and the bottled water in our rooms was way too expensive, which was an issue as there weren’t any stores easy to access from the location. Water was available in glasses in the reception area but that doesn’t get you through the night….”
”No kettle in room although a mini bar. Valet parking cost seemed steep although very secure….”
