TL;DR
- Central Tulsa: Prime downtown location in a modern red-brick building.
- Stylish vibe: Rock-and-roll rooms with subtle Art Deco restaurant touches.
- Mixed style: Some IKEA showroom vibes, but can also be very charming.

For a hotel in the center of Downtown Tulsa, IHG’s funky boutique line is a nice choice.
The location is excellent, the building is modern, but has a certain type of elegance. We just like a red brick building in all its forms, to be honest.
And it works well in context, in a city with a century-span of notable architecture, it doesn’t compete, but complements.
There’s much that fits very well into the city, from the rock-and-roll urbanism of the guestrooms to whispers of Art Deco in the onsite restaurant.
It doesn’t all work perfectly. At its worst, we might say the hotel borrowed some of its personality from an IKEA showroom.
At its best, however, it is a summary of some of the loveliest things about Tulsa. And anyway we really have nothing against IKEA!
What are the rooms like?
- Number of rooms: 93 total.
- Room mix: Premium, Standard, and Suite options.
- Design: Clean-lined, colorful, with chic yet unpretentious furnishings.
- Features: TVs, workspaces, coffee machines, some with balconies.
- See each room in detail here
Rooms are an interesting combination of clean lined contemporary and urban edge.
Large wall graphics give it a youthful feel, with a nice mix of sleek leather and more casual fabrics to undercut the rich uncle styling of it all.
Indeed, in the end, it’s more like your uni friend’s living room after he graduated and started working for his dad’s company – laid-back, but definitely styled, and presumably by a 20-something straight guy.
Room types are simple: Premium, Standard and Suite. Standard rooms are King Singles or Queen Doubles, while Premium rooms are roomy King Singles with the occasional sofa bed.
Suites are a bit more sophisticated in decor, in a very nice way.
They have basically nailed the chic yet unpretentious contemporary vibe, with colorful furnishings and a good amount of natural wood. Some have private balconies.
Whatever you choose, you’ll get TVs, working areas and coffee machines.

And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Onsite dining: Prospect Local Bar and Kitchen serves New American fare.
- Rooftop bar: Great skyline views, especially at sunset.
- Fitness center: Well-equipped, bright, with lots of windows.
In such a central location, there are plenty of places to eat, but we’re happy to say that the onsite restaurant has a lot going for it.
Prospect Local Bar and Kitchen is a bright, open space with soaring ceilings, much glass, and delicate dividers that all give a sense of openness.
The furnishings are elegant without feeling stuffy, though a bit airport-y, if swanky airport restaurants had nice views.
With locally-inspired New American fare, it’s worth at least a nice lunch.
Worth a full evening is the rooftop bar. No, Tulsa isn’t an iconic skyline a la New York, but there’s a definite charm to a small city skyline that’s punctuated by skyscrapers rather than defined by them.
The fitness center is a nice place for anyone who doesn’t want to miss out on their workouts. There are plenty of machines and (most importantly, in our opinion) lots of windows.
How is the neighborhood? Anything interesting nearby?
- Great location: Free airport pickup, walkable to top attractions.
- Nearby highlights: Jazz Hall of Fame, Performing Arts Center, Tulsa Theatre.
- Culture: Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie Centers a 10-minute walk.
- Unique spots: Blue Dome District and quirky Route 66 attractions.
The location is excellent. With a free airport pickup and easy access to most of Tulsa’s main attractions, you won’t need to drive anywhere if you’re satisfied with staying local.
There are plenty of neat restaurants near the hotel, and more than enough entertainment. You’ll be near the Performing Arts Center, Jazz Hall of Fame, Tulsa Theatre, with a bowling alley just down the street.
Tulsa’s famous Blue Dome is literally around the corner, the Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie Centers are just a 10-minute walk.
Some say the famed Center of the Universe is overrated, but it doesn’t really matter; it’s a five-minute walk. Stand in the center and yell to the heavens and see how it feels.
Architecture fans can take the time to search out the many Art Deco buildings in the city.
The furthest attraction will be the river walk, a lovely stretch of trail next to the Arkansas River in the Riverview neighborhood, a full 40-minute walk from the hotel.
In the other direction, there’s the monument to Black Wall Street and the Tulsa Race Massacre, integral parts of getting to know the city.
Again, it’s still not even a 10-minute walk.
If you have wheels, we highly recommend a drive down Route 66. Tulsa is near some of the silliest and most charming roadside attractions.
