ARRIVE from Palisociety is a super-cute boutique hotel in the center of Downtown Wilmington, North Carolina.
Palisociety has a good track record of hip, elegant hotels in locations that deserve a little extra love on the boutique hotel front, and Wilmington is no exception.
ARRIVE occupies an impeccably curated building of whitewashed brick that feels like it was designed to show up all the other hotels around.
We’re not huge fans of painted brick (give it to us exposed, please), but we can’t deny that the building very nicely catches the eye.
It’s perfect for the brand’s contemporary chic style, accented by graphic florals and plenty of bold color.
It’s not a traditionalist’s dream, but there’s the right amount of class and charm to bring anyone around, in our opinion.
Add to this the high standard of luxury that comes with the Palisociety brand, and you’re looking at a comfortable, stylish trip to good ol’ Wilmy.

And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Onsite dining: Dram Yard serves local cuisine for breakfast, brunch, and dinner
- Gazebo Bar: offers handcrafted cocktails and small plates in the courtyard
- Focus on essentials: eating, drinking, and sleeping done well; no complimentary breakfast
There’s not much more to the spot than eating, drinking, and sleeping, but any hotel that does those three things well can get pretty far.
ARRIVE does a pretty good job with all of them, with the single caveat of no complimentary breakfast.
The breakfast you pay for, however, is top-notch, and the onsite restaurant is built to impress.
Dram Yard is a restaurant focused on serving up the best quality local cuisine, a south meets seafood situation that’s hard to dislike.
Breakfast is available every day. There’s brunch on weekends and dinner Wednesday through Saturday.
If you were disappointed not to get your daily lobby cocktail, never fear. Gazebo Bar, snuggled in the courtyard area, serves up handcrafted cocktails every day.
There are small plates also, and if you’re not a big eater, you could manage this into a dinner joint.
