Outside Falmouth, between the Frances A. Crane Wildlife Management Area, Little Sippewissett Marsh, and Woodneck Beach, the property is well-suited for any number of outdoor activities.
If you like the ruggedness of camping, be forewarned, this is glamping at its best. Airstreams are absolutely set up, with plenty of seating, lots of natural light, and bathrooms made out in ‘spa style’.
You may want to roll your eyes at that descriptor, yet it kind of holds up. Like everything else on the property, it’s a lovely balance of outdoorsy and indulgent.

Tiny houses are tucked into the nearby trees, with bathrooms and a kitchenette.
The decor in each is straightforward and cozy, letting the beautiful surroundings do most of the talking.

- Scenic rides: Vineyard Sound coastline, bogs, and beaches on two wheels.
- Island access: Ferry to Martha’s Vineyard from Woods Hole nearby.
- Local highlights: Nobska Lighthouse views and Science Aquarium.
- Town life: Restaurants and galleries in nearby Falmouth.
Two-wheeled families, rejoice! One key aspect of AutoCamp Cape Cod’s location is the proximity to the very chill, very beautiful Shining Sea Bikeway.
Long-distance cyclists will love the Cape Cod Rail Trail, which, in about 7 hours, should get you to the Northern edge, near Provincetown.
The paved bike road winds around the seacoast of the Vineyard Sound, past rocks and waves and bogs and everything you might want to see. It’s roughly 10.7 miles long, but you can turn back whenever you like.
There’s even more to see, much of which can be explored on two wheels, but four will do just as well.
Head down to the southern coast for some spectacular views of Martha’s Vineyard.
10 minutes by car, half an hour by bike, will take you to the southernmost tip of the mainland Cape.
Here you can head to the Woods Hole ferry station and grab a boat to a nearby island.
The views from around Nobska Lighthouse are incredible, and the Science Aquarium has a touch tank kids will love.
If you feel like you need some civilization, the town of Falmouth has nice restaurants, and art galleries to explore.
And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
“The location is great, the lodgings are stellar but the best thing about Autocamp Cape Cod is their team. I had an exceptional experience with everyone I encountered there….”
“Our airstream was placed in the Forrest surrounded by trees and it was amazing, almost felt like real camping. Everything was well done, the interior, the site with reception, the yoga class in the morning. We had an incredible experience, we appreciate prices are high (at least for us) but we loved going for it…..”
Some things guests didn’t like:
”It would have been useful to know in advance that there is no hob / cooker in the kitchen area, just a microwave / combi oven. There was no charcoal provided for outdoor cooking, but logs were available to buy.
The free breakfast (granola and hot drinks) in the clubhouse was a nice touch but the food we ordered on our first evening was disappointing, particularly the macaroni cheese. The pizzas were a bit better….”
”Bed could be more comfortable. It was a little wobbly. Could be sturdier and mattress firmer. There was no pool. For the price it should have a pool….”
