This historic boutique in Downtown St. Augustine, Florida is on par with many of the city’s more expensive brands, and it’s much more intimate to boot.
A small property packed with style, this museum-turned hotel is a testament to the staying power of St. Augustine’s storied past.
It comprises 9 different historical houses, each with its own story. The hotel offers tours of the property throughout the week, and there are plenty of nearby sites to explore.
But it’s not just for history buffs.
Amenities, decor, and service are all top-notch, making it a worthy stop for anyone, regardless of their interest in Spanish colonial architecture.
It’s chic in the best of ways, like you just stepped into a page of Better Homes and Gardens. In this case, the staging has become reality.

You’ll want to contact the hotel directly if the building is important to you, but in our opinion, it doesn’t matter which house you get.
All rooms have a similar feeling of timeless elegance, with countless antique elements set off by more contemporary luxury.
They start at Queen Singles, petite rooms that we’d recommend more for individuals.
Couples will be happier in one of the King Singles; and we’re extra partial to those with private balconies.
Suites feel like plush apartments. Most have sofa beds and are able to sleep 3. The two bedrooms are perfect for larger groups, able to sleep 5.
Whatever you choose, you’ll be perfectly set up for your dream vacation. Each room features a granite-countered kitchenette, Amazon Echo, HDTV, Nespresso machine, microwave, and mini-fridge.

And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Dining: European Continental breakfast, The Well cocktail bar with small plates.
- Facilities: Courtyard garden with pool, fire pits, lawn games, bicycles.
- No full restaurant: Though breakfast and drinks/snacks available.
Food is the downside, but we think that ultimately, the cocktail bar and the European Continental breakfast make up for the lack of a full restaurant onsite.
It’s not a full plate of freshly cooked eggs, but the breakfast will get you started no problem.
Snacks are set out in the afternoon if you tend to get peckish, and then it’s on to The Well.
The hotel bar is a cocktail-forward space with over a century of history. They do offer small plates of cheese, dips, nuts and olives, but if you need a full meal, it’s not the place.
It is the place for chic drinks in a super charming stone building, with seating outside in the courtyard garden.
The garden features many tables tucked around the pool, the palms, and the fire pits.
And it’s not just tables! There’s a selection of lawn games for you to enjoy, and borrowable bicycles perfect for exploring the area.
