TL;DR
- Resort-style Edgewater Beach Hotel in Naples, FL
- Classic luxury with white walls, balconies, and palm trees
- Fantastic beach views from many rooms and suites
- Friendly hospitality catering to luxury travelers
- Check dates and prices here
The plush, resort-style Edgewater Beach Hotel, on the edge of Naples, FL, visually, might not have much more going on that any other luxury Florida hotel.
We’re talking white walls, square buildings, palm trees, balconies. Classic plush, where nothing really stands out, for better or worse.
It’s the superb location, and the superb hospitality though that really gets it done here.
We love the way the hotel opens up towards the beach, with balconies situated to maximize the number of rooms with fantastic views of the sea.
Staff are accommodating and friendly, well used to dealing with all the personalities that accompany a Very Expensive Florida Vacation.
What are the rooms like?
- Number of rooms: 125
- Spacious suites with beige and blue decor
- Tower and beachfront options with varying amenities
- Suites include kitchens and lounging areas
- Penthouses sleep up to 10 for opulent stays
- See each room in detail here
Rooms are the same kind of unassuming, confident luxury as the hotel.
The decor verges on boring, made up for with super-spacious rooms and (mostly) nice views and (mostly) large windows.
It’s beige and blue, mostly, with some cute wood and Tower Suites avoiding the curse of the hotel carpet.
Your standard One- and Two-Bedroom Suites will have the typical patterned carpeting, which at least is not beige, but a darker kind of gray.
Everything’s well-made, however, and suites start at 700 square feet, with small kitchens and plenty of lounging area.
The big division is between the Tower and the rest of the hotel, and we’d gently push guests either towards the Tower or right towards the beach.
Besides our continued vendetta against hotel carpeting, Tower Rooms have sofa beds and cozy living spaces.
Beachfront suites are, well, right next to the beach. The Penthouse is one such, a giant suite built to sleep up to 10, if you’re feeling opulent.

And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Dining options include indoor, outdoor, poolside, and in-room
- Coast offers creative New American cuisine
- Reflections pool bar serves drinks and globally-inspired menu
- Morning coffee and lobby cookies available throughout the day
- Shuttle service to Downtown Naples, pool, and beach
Food at Edgewater is best enjoyed…anywhere. They have outdoor dining, poolside dining, indoor dining, in-room dining, whatever you’re in the mood for.
This isn’t mind-blowing information for a resorty hotel, but the dining areas here, besides perhaps the in-room option, are notably lovely.
We vote either sitting outside at Coast, a creative New American restaurant with a nice balance of causal and upscale, or heading to the pool.
All of these spots include a breezy, beachy ambience looking out towards the Gulf.
The poolside bar is called Reflections, a relaxed space featuring a globally-inspired menu and a nice selection of cocktails.
Morning coffee, afternoon drinks, and lobby cookies are available throughout the day.
There’s a shuttle into Downtown Naples, service at the pool or the beach, and complimentary lounge chairs (quantity based on your reservation).
How is the neighborhood? Anything interesting nearby?
- Near Naples city center between Lowdermilk and Moorings Beach
- 5th Avenue and Old Naples shopping/restaurants under 10 minutes away
- Nearby attractions include Naples Zoo and Botanical Garden
- Beaches and Pier for waterfront views
- Celebration Park food truck hub and waterfront area
The hotel sits a bit north of the Naples city center, between Lowdermilk Beach and the private Moorings Beach.
It’s the tip of the Naples peninsula, so the odds of a relaxed beach are higher than normal, but still close enough that you won’t have trouble exploring downtown.
5th Avenue is less than a 10-minute drive, and it’s the perfect place to start.
The thoroughfare sits right near Old Naples, which is basically the hub for shops and restaurants.
If you walk all the way down you’ll hit the beach. If you prefer your waterfront views devoid of sand, check out the Pier to the south of the city.
Or, head east to check out the area’s other attractions. The Naples Zoo is less than 10 minutes away, the Botanical Garden 15 minutes south.
If you head down that way, check out Celebration Park. It’s Naples’s food truck hub, with a little waterfront area by the boats.
And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
“Location is excellent, everything is well maintained on the property, personnel is very friendly and helpful….”
“Superb but I paid 4200$ for a suite so expected it to be so. Beach superb pools also….”
Some things guests didn’t like:
”They charge you for almost everything….”
”I had to change rooms because I thought I was booking a gulf front room. I was traveling to relax on my own. I got screaming kids outside my balcony instead. I was moved to an amazing gulf front room the last 3 night for the same rate. That was very nice and I plan to return, of course!…”
