This Temu resort, right in the center of Key West’s Old Town is the place for classic Florida palm-shaded relaxation.
It’s missing some key amenities, but the overall resort vibe is still there.
It’s less a hotel than a collection of accommodation surrounded by greenery, pools and super-happy visitors.
The main building does house a solid collection of rooms, as does the nearby annex.
But, it’s really the bungalows that we’d point you toward.
They’re smaller than most of the rooms, but have twice the charm.
Of course, there’s plenty of charm to go around. They put the grounds at the forefront, for good reason.
Stone pathways wind through lush gardens and bright white decks, so cozy you might have to push yourself to get out on the town.
If having the resort feel without a spa or on-site restaurant feels off to you, we advise some other options.
If it simply sounds like a low-key, homely way to relax and enjoy Key West, you’re in the right place.
What are the rooms like?
- Number of rooms: 85
- Bright white decor with seafoam and blue accents
- Varied options from bungalows to annex rooms
- Bungalows are tiny but full of character
- All rooms include robes, seating, fridge, and yoga mat
- See each room in detail here
The entire property sports a bright, white-centric approach to decor, with excellent use of both bright and subtle colors.
They’re mostly those beachy kinds of sea foams and blues, with stylish black furnishings that add boldness and just a bit of edge.
There’s a huge variety in room styles, all tucked in different buildings throughout the property.
We’ll start with the bungalows, the namesakes, our personal favorites.
They’re fairly minuscule, but designers have managed to Tetris a king bed, small sofa and desk into the little room.
Vaulted ceilings mean the taller folk might want to look elsewhere, but they’re just so cute.
Other rooms follow the same design sense, ranging from Queen Singles and Doubles, 2-person Suites and an 11-room annex that can be rented out if you can wrangle that many people together.
Whatever you choose, it’ll have some kind of cute seating, robes, a TV, a mini fridge and even a yoga mat for your daily stretching.
What are prices like?
And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Continental breakfast with house-made pastries
- Main pool with lively ambience
- Bungalow Bar serving drinks and light meals
- Weekend mimosas for brunch relaxation
- Bike rentals available for exploring
Continental breakfast is included, and this is an especially nice one.
It’s cold plates in general, but pastries are made in-house, there’s a nice selection of juices, and usually something a little special on the side.
Coffee is served in the breakfast area. Bring your cutest PJs so you can venture out without changing.
The main pool has the best ambience, and though it’s unheated, it has the Bungalow Bar next door, so we forgive it.
The drinks flow, with bottomless mimosas on weekend mornings. It closes early, so consider it the spot for a nice day drink and one or more dips in the pool.
The bar is a chance to get a light meal on-site, but that’s the best you’ll get for food on the property.
Luckily, you’re not far from anything in town. The hotel is well-prepped to set up bike rentals.
How is the neighborhood? Anything interesting nearby?
- Old Town location with lively charm
- 5-minute walk to parks and cemetery
- Cultural stops like Hemingway House and Lighthouse
- Duval Street nightlife 10–15 minutes away
- Seaside attractions at Mallory Square and Aquarium
- Fort Zachary Taylor Park for swimming and views
- Excursions arranged for fishing, snorkeling, and more
Old Town might not be the main bustle of Key West, but it’s a lively area with plenty to see.
It’s a nice place just to wander around; you’re a 5-minute walk or less to the Key West Cemetery, Bayview Park and Nelson English Park.
None are going to win any awards, but they make nice destinations for a relaxed stroll.
If you want something more cultural, the Hemingway House and Museum is on the way into town, right next to the Key West Lighthouse.
For revelry, head to Duval Street. It’ll take you 10-15 minutes to get into the heart of it.
Here, you can people watch, drink, eat, party, shop; anything you like.
Walk past it and you’ll make it to the sea. There you’ll have a few Maritime Museums, cute little public area, Mallory Square, and the Aquarium.
The Key West Amphitheater and Fort Zachary Taylor Park are probably the farthest attractions, both worth a visit.
The Park, especially, is the place to be if you want to dip your toes in the Gulf.
The hotel can organize trips out to see for fishing, snorkeling, sandbar-hopping and more.
And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
“The venue itself was incredibly lush and the split of the pools. Location was excellent but far enough away to be quiet. Bar amenities were available but we didn’t use these too much….”
“The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything we needed. We were welcomed with a pirate token, good for any drink at the bar for each of us. The breakfast exceeded my expectations; it’s not your typical hotel breakfast. It was fresh and actually satisfying, not the usual sugary mess. The 3 pools were well kept and a comfortable temperature with towels as needed. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable. Location was perfect, quick walk over to Duval street. Highly recommended!….”
Some things guests didn’t like:
”Breakfast was good but it was mainly carbohydrates. I was hoping for more choices of warm eggs….”
”Room had no tables to use a laptop or computer. Bugs were present but may be unavoidable due to the extremely hot and humid climate….”
