Each room is entirely unique, dedicated to a single local artist. They range in size, color and style, but you’ll find lots of plants and animals.
Each room or suite is a visual experience without compromising comfort.
Our personal favorites are the bright, abstract Suite 102 by artist Romelle, Johnny Draco‘s boldly geometric Suite 203; and the illustrative buffalo of Suite 211, by Danielle Seewalker.
Really, though, it’s all a matter of taste, art is subjective, and there’s something for everyone.
All rooms will provide the same amenities, typically sleeping two in a queen bed. It’s primarily a condo-hotel, so many of the rooms will have separate seating areas, and most offer full kitchens or kitchenettes.
In each unit you’ll find a TV, coffee maker, a midi or mini fridge, microwave, and even dishwashers in some.
From light fixtures to cabinet pulls, most design elements chosen to support each room’s specific artwork. The attention to detail is astounding.
The bathrooms are also unique to the room, with claw foot tubs in the corner suites. Tiling is designed to match the interior mural perfectly.
It’s a delightful break from hotel standardization.

And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
”Generic hotels bore me! All the hotels listed on my conference suggestions looked generic SO I did my own research and found the delightful Acoma house. I spent ages looking at each room and reading about each artist before picking my yellow hotel room because I am loving yellow right now! The whole interior was so well done!…”
”Loved everything about this hotel – highly recommend! The decor and art in the room is incredible. Very clean and comfortable. Easy check in process. Good location near the art gallery and Capitol Hill. Walking distance to restaurants and an awesome coffee shop (Leven). However, it is a bit far from the main downtown area (Union station area and 16th Street) but still walkable in 30 mins or easy to get to by car so it wasn’t really a problem. Just something to be aware of, and there are a number of things nearby. I can’t say enough good things about the Acoma House. This place is fantastic….”
Some things guests didn’t like:
‘Bath tub with shower was bit cumbersome for the seniors as there was no handle to get in but otherwise it had all the necessary toiletries and nicely decorated…..”
”If you don’t like feather down pillows/blankets, just ask for whatever you need. Wish I had known that up front, but next time we stay here I’ll know to ask…..”
