TL;DR
- Scenic setting: On Mesa Road, overlooking Garden of the Gods Park.
- Nature-forward vibe: Huge windows and outdoor feel throughout.
- Half-rural, half-urban: Easy balance of seclusion and city access.

Let’s face it, Colorado is tailor-made for nature-forward tourism, and this Colorado Springs boutique hotel slash resort leans all the way in.
Tucked alongside Mesa Road, facing the famed Garden of the Gods Park, just the view from the windows is a celebration of Colorado’s natural beauty.
The rest of the hotel is built around this obvious fact, with huge windows in the lodge rooms and the casitas out in the grounds. It really feels outside of the city.
Yet it’s not far at all. We’d call this a great choice for anyone that likes a half-rural, half-urban vacation.
Even if you like an all-rural vacation, it’s still a great choice.
Only the city slickers might find something lacking, but even a city slicker needs some time in the mountains, don’t they?

Accommodation is split between the center-of-it-all lodge, cottages, and casitas, made to provide a sense of privacy and seclusion.
We have to say, the Lodge rooms have some of the best ambience, with cute little stone pattern rugs, wood floor and large windows.
The rest is pretty straightforward hotel, lots of white and gray and beige, gray carpets.
It’s all nice-quality and clean, but there’s a slight lack of flair that is easily overshadowed by the superb views.
Casitas can but fully booked for ultimate privacy, with some options to book room-by-room and connecting suites.
Cottages are the same, with more configurations of 1 or 2 bedrooms that we could list here.
Suffice to say, you’ll find what you need to accommodate whatever size party you’re working with.
Almost all Lodge rooms have access to views of the park, often including private patios or balconies.
Other amenities include, mini fridges, Nespresso machines, TVs, robes, and even some board games you can pick up from the front desk.
Casitas and Cottages have the added draw of luxury bathrooms with soaking tubs.

And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Dining variety: Grandview, Rocks Lounge, Kissing Camel Grille, and café options.
- Activities galore: Golf, tennis, 7 pickleball courts, fitness center.
- Pools: 21+ infinity pool plus family-friendly pool complex.
- Spa & wellness: Strata Spa with full treatments and wellness programs.
It’s a resort. Food is available on-site for all meals, and the facilities are designed to keep you on the property.
Grandview is a lodge-style spot with all of the windows, serving standard American fare, like you just popped down to the neighborhood grill. There’s a lot of thought into local ingredients and seasonal options.
The Rocks Lounge is a hotel-exclusive spot for a nice cocktail and some casual bites. B
each & Cable Barista offers Lavazza coffees alongside a menu of fresh, easy eats.
You’ve also got Kissing Camel Grille for something that feels a bit more exclusive.
It’s perched atop the Kissing Camel Recreation center, the place for the kids to hang.
We’re looking at a playground, pickleball, pools, and more. The same is true for all ages, really, with 7 pickleball courts, a whole golf situation, tennis courts and seriously extensive fitness facilities.
Pools (plural) are also set out to please everyone. Of course, the 21+ infinity pool is the most eye-catching, but the seasonal Three Graces Pool Complex offers lap lanes, a hot tub, and cabanas.
The Spa is managed by local wellness experts Strata, with a full menu of treatments from salon makeup to Ayurvedic-inspired oil massages.
How is the neighborhood? Anything interesting nearby?
- Stunning backdrop: Right on the edge of Garden of the Gods Park.
- Easy access: Walk straight into red rock landscapes.
- Local food: Westside offers plenty of dining, 15 minutes away.
- Cultural stops: Downtown museums and U.S. Olympic Committee ties.
- Adventure option: Pikes Peak trips by car or hiking trail.
The location, of course, is breathtaking.
You’re on the edge of a park named for the gods, surrounded by red rock formations and stunning skies.
A jaunt out to the park is the easiest thing in the world, and you can wander there for hours.
If you’re getting antsy about resort food, the city has many charms. Westside is a mere 15-minute drive, a cute suburb with a huge variety of food options.
Further Downtown you can catch the local museums, many of them Gold Rush or Pioneer-themed. As home to the U.S. Olympic Committee, there’s a lot of sport tourism to be had as well.
For more intense outdoorsy-ness, a trip up to Pikes Peak is a great option. It’s an hour by car, or one of the longest days of your life on foot.
But, like, a nice day anyway.
And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
“You cannot beat this view, its worth the stay just for that. Amazing views and location. Spa and gym were so well equipped, classes were great!! Infinity pool is very special….”
“The location and views were amazing. Bathroom in our room was a really nice size. Really enjoyed live music in the bar on Saturday evening….”
Some things guests didn’t like:
”Only 2 small suggestions. Would have liked a microwave in the room and conditioner instead of crème rinse, which did nothing for my hair….”
”The lobby is not very welcoming, there are no good hang out spaces. It has too much of a conference feel. Also cannot believe there was no tea/coffee in the lobby in the mornings….”
