TL;DR
- Vibe: Proudly maximalist boutique hotel in the heart of Soho.
- Personality: Mirrored tables, velvet, and pink leather – nothing understated.
- Compact comfort: Small rooms, but lavish shared spaces to make up for it.
- Soundproofing: Central Soho so busy until about 3am but good exterior soundproofing prevents noise.

The Broadwick, Soho, is a boutique hotel, alright, but also an Art Deco meets Euro disco, maximalist fantasy.
There’s never much shying away from colour, pattern, shine or texture. We’re talking mirrored tables and velvet chairs, pink leather and hand-painted furnishings.
Minimalists may well cringe at the sight. But the Broadwick is also certainly more than just visuals, the amenities and the service rise to match.
Our biggest caution will be for those who like to spend a lot of time in their rooms.
Square meterage is limited, but it would be a bit of a waste not to soak in the atmosphere of the common areas, anyway.
What are the rooms like?
- Number of rooms: 57 beautifully detailed spaces.
- Small but chic: Standard rooms start at just 18m² – cozy.
- Elegant upgrade: Suites and penthouse options add space and indulgence.
- Soft luxury: Think velvet, marble, and a dash of princess charm.
- See each room in detail here
As mentioned, we’re starting small.
Standard rooms, while beautiful, are 18 square meter Queen Singles.
You’ll move through Deluxe and Luxury until you hit a king-sized bed or anything over 25 square meters.
This isn’t to say they’re not beautifully designed, and comfortable to sleep in, but hanging out is better done in the many stunning common areas.
Suites are a solid option, starting at 38 square meter Juniors and running up to a super-spacious Penthouse with a gorgeous soaking tub-filled marble bathroom.
Decor is plush, velvety-soft luxury mostly in shades of rosy pink and minty green.
And, despite being relatively small, they pack a lot of welcoming luxury hotel features in.
For that read: excellent entertainment systems, complimentary reading materials, Nespresso machines, inviting designer bathrooms, soft robes and independent climate control.

And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Italian indulgence: Dear Jackie delivers sophisticated dining for guests and locals alike.
- Day-to-night: Bar Jackie keeps things casual yet classy from morning to evening.
- Sky-high sips: Flute rooftop bar pairs prosecco and caviar under open skies.
- Cosy retreat: The guests-only Nook offers fireside drinks and a vinyl collection.
- Local extras: Concierge can arrange nearby gym and spa visits.
Of course, once you’re out you’ll be glad you did.
We’ll start with Dear Jackie, the most Italian space of all at the hotel. Get reservations here at weekends we’d say, because it’s open to the public and they’re also very interested.
There are set menus, and à la carte options. It’s a wonderful space and the menu is very indulgent, contemporary Italian.
If you want something a bit more laid back, there’s Bar Jackie. It’s still quite chic, but more relaxed, and open all day.
Then there’s Flute, the rooftop bar where they refer to caviar as a ‘bump’ and serve prosecco under the sky.
The guests-only Nook is maybe our favorite. It’s a sweet little place that maybe more befits London’s moody weather.
You’ll snuggle in an armchair near the fire, sipping Irish coffee and listening to some Sade, some Rolling Stones, or whatever’s there in their vinyl collection.
There’s no on-site gym or spa, but the concierge can arrange access to nearby facilities on request.
How is the location? Anything interesting nearby?
- Prime Soho: In the heart of one of London’s liveliest neighbourhoods.
- Market heritage: Steps from Berwick Street’s long-running market.
- Walkable wonders: Galleries, theatres, and major landmarks minutes away.
- Transport ease: Tottenham Court Road station is just a 5-minute walk.
This is the absolute heart of Soho, one of London’s most famously lively quarters.
You’re right around the corner from the 18th century era market street, Berwick Street.
The markets are much pared down these days though it’s still the main hub for street food in Soho.
And it’s an easy walk to basically any of Soho’s innumerable little bars, cafes and boutique shops.
Nightlife is of course a big attraction here, both LGBTQ focused and more general.
It’s an incredibly lively quarter come evening time, but good exterior soundproofing helps keeps the rooms quiet.
Most of London’s more well known tourist attractions aren’t going to be far, either.
It’s a 10-minute walk to the National Gallery and Trafalgar Square, for example, passing through Piccadilly and Leicester Square on the way.
The British Museum is an easy walk too, as is Royal Academy.
A twenty minute stroll will have you to St. James’ & Green Park, ten minutes more and you’re at Buckingham Palace.
Other, smaller museums cluster around the area, paying tribute to everything from Dickens, old London transport, and cartoons.
The closest underground station is Tottenham Court Road, which is also very convenient for buses and cabs.
And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
“We loved everything about the place. I was travelling with my daughter and knew she would love it for the aesthetics, so she was very charmed the moment she entered the boutique hotel. You could tell a lot of effort and personal touch went into the design of the place. The bathroom is spacious and well laid out. Loved the green mirror in the hallway. The staff were also very kind, attentive and warm. We left our luggage there overnight after we checked out while we travelled out of London and they were ok to store it at no charge. We had breakfast included in our stay and it was very good as well….”
“Fun decor and lots of luxury extra touches. Staff very all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed cocktails in The Flute and a delicious breakfast in the morning. A real treat that was every bit as lovely as we had hoped….”
Some things guests didn’t like:
”The barmen at the bar, seemed a bit too difficult in preparing a drink which was not on the menu….”
”Bedroom a little to small….”
