Concepció by Nobis occupies a renovated 16th century soap factory on the edge of Palma’s Old Town.
It’s classic Balearic on the outside, classic pan-European boutique on the inside.
As a member of Design Hotels, you can be confident that the levels of taste and luxury are high.
And they also bring a bit of that universal contemporary cool that unites so many boutique hotels.
Makes sense, considering the Swedish design firm that headed the project.
This means sacrificing more than a bit of the historical charm and local feel though.
But we know there’ll be plenty of people happy to brave a little pan-European luxury in the heart of Palma.
If that’s you too, read on.
What are the rooms like?
- 31 rooms: ranging from tiny attic spaces to spacious suites.

- Swedish-infused decor: with geometric tiles and a black-white-green palette.
- Terrace favourites: like the Terrazza Room mix indoor cosiness with outdoor space.
- See each room in detail here
Concepció by Nobis is decidedly intimate, with a number of snug attic rooms.
There’s a very nice variety in size, the smallest a tiny 14 square metres, the largest a full 40.
This means you get to choose your own adventure, a super-cosy attic stay, a plush suite, or everything in between.
Our favourite is the Terrazza Room, which is almost equal parts snug room and roomy terrace.
The decor is lovely, if you like contemporary charm with a Swedish flavour. Floors are a unique style of geometrically patterned tile that drive the decor.
Colours are all in the range of black, white and green.
Tiles feature a sort of minty sea-foam, with lush forest-green velvet in some suites.
Velvet couch or no, all rooms feature top-of-the-line TVs, cute showers with tiles that match the floor, some sort of seating, and locally-made furnishings.
