Behind the eye catching quirky name lies an adults-only, boutique hotel filled with the finer things.
The facade is bright and cheerful, but with elegant old wrought iron and stone accents.
The interiors are design-forward, and bursting with personality.
They’ve snuck floral wallpaper everywhere you could imagine, and some places where you couldn’t.
Feathered centrepieces and fringed lampshades are all a bit cabaret, sexiness offset by bold abstract paintings and wonky sculptures.
We’re not sure if it all makes sense together, but there’s a lively kind of sultry to the place that’s very hard to dislike.
Seconds from the canal, minutes from the old town, and an architectural gem in its own right, Hotel Lobby is a terrific base to explore Seville.

Rooms are Deluxe and Grand Deluxe, which normally we might make fun of, but even the simplest feel pretty deluxe.
The colour scheme is glowy warm oranges and rich blacks, tempered with expressive artwork.
Original architectural touches add texture and depth.
There’s an air of rich guncle to the whole thing, and to Hotel Lobby in general. Nobody would be surprised to run into Billy Porter in the hallway.
Rooms only run up to 30 square metres, so if you’re one to spread out, look towards the suites.
Junior Suites don’t give too much more, but some of them have bathtubs that are absolutely worth the upgrade.
The Rio Suite is available for anyone who wants to rave while showering, the Penthouse and the Petite Penthouse are what you’d expect from a stunning hotel overlooking Seville.
Well, okay, we didn’t expect the hot tub on the balcony.
Jacuzzi or no jacuzzi, you’ll enjoy each room’s gorgeous stone sinks, TVs, enticing leather armchairs, desks, and city views.

And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Sunny breakfast room: with floral upholstery and japonisme inspiration.
- Casa Anibal dining: offers chic haute cuisine in dramatic décor.
- Rooftop cocktails: ideal for golden hour and sunset views.
- Two stylish bars: including a velvet-draped, pink-hued evening spot.
- Wellness options: like massages, facials, a gym, and an infinity rooftop pool.
You’ll enjoy breakfast in a room full of sunlight, floral upholstery, japonisme-inspired wallpaper, and bird imagery.
It’s a lovely place to spend a morning, sipping coffee and snacking on pastries, fruit, cereals, and more.
Casa Anibal is the main restaurant, a super-chic spot for ‘haute cuisine’ decorated with feather-trees and bespoke lighting and a distinctive wrought iron bar.
Cocktail hour should be had on the rooftop for golden hour and sunset for photos you’ll want to frame immediately.
Equally charming are the many metres of fairy lights that welcome the night.
And if it wasn’t for Atico Hall, the other cocktail bar, we might advise you to stay on the roof watching the city all evening.
Yet, inside Hotel Lobby’s luxurious walls you’ll find a velvet-draped, decidedly pink space inviting you to do nothing but indulge.
Sip martinis underneath a glowing orb suspended over a floating elephant, surrounding by all the trappings of opulence.
The next morning, organize an in-room massage or facial or head to the onsite gym to work it off.
Or, head straight to the rooftop infinity pool for stunning views, lush atmosphere, and hair of the dog.
How is the neighbourhood? Anything interesting nearby?
- Prime Arenal setting: with calmer canal-side vibes near Santa Cruz.
- Walkable access: to central sights, nightlife, and cultural landmarks.
- Quick reach: to Triana across the Puente de Isabel II.
- Close to highlights: like the Cathedral, Calle Sierpes, and Alameda.
- Scenic strolls: along the canal to San Bernardo and Plaza de España.
Arenal is in many ways a subset of Santa Cruz, Seville’s main drag for all things history and tourism.
It benefits from proximity to the canal, which gives a bit more calm than the more central areas.
Of course, there are bars around and the weekends especially can get quite lively. If you can’t beat them, join them?
Almost anything central is walkable from Hotel Lobby.
Perhaps the biggest perk is the easy walk to the famous Triana, flamenco centre of Seville.
In less than 5 minutes you can cross the Puente de Isabel II and be at the fresh market on Triana’s canal side.
The more obvious attractions are also easy.
The Cathedral of Seville is 15 minutes on foot, past the Plaza de Toros, which is not our thing, but a cultural landmark all the same.
Posh shopping along Calle Sierpes is a 10-minute walk, with another 10 or so minutes to Alameda.
Here you’ll find a somewhat more alternative area with some nice nightlife.
Even the famed San Bernardo, home to the university and plenty of lovely gardens, is just under a half hour walk, much of which runs along the canal.
The famed Plaza de Espana and it’s stunning 1920s architecture is a must-see.
And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
“This hotel really is the 5 star experience. The staff are amazing, the room was stunning and spotlessly clean. On arrival we were given a glass of cava whilst we checked in and once in our room the restaurant manager knocked with a small tray of treats, what a first impression. Breakfast is amazing with top quality food and again 5 star service. Clean fluffy towels in the bathroom along with robes and slippers, they seem to have thought of everything. We stayed for my birthday and there was a hand written card in the room from the general manager. Anybody thinking of staying here just book it! Thank you to all of the staff for a most incredible stay….”
“Exceptional attention to detail in the approach of the staff. Friendly and attentive throughout. Breakfast was in a charming setting. The bar in the roof is probably the best one I visited in the city….”
Some things guests didn’t like:
”Nothing other than maybe it was a little dark!…”
”Very small detail but lighting in the room was quite dark. In the room and also the bathroom….”
