In the grand tradition of European boutique hotels, Vinnci Larios Diez, Malaga, offers shiny new accommodation in a historic building.
The exterior is stately and handsome, warm brick and stone only slightly undermined by the commercial spaces on either side of the entrance.
This is what you get, though, in the heart of a tourist town. Marqués de Larios is a lively street lined with commercial space, perfect for downtown-lovers.
If you’re looking for something more retreat-like, we’ve got other options. If you want to be at the heart of the action, however, this will do the trick.
Vinnci itself is a small chain with a healthy number of small 4 and 5-star hotels in Spain and Portugal.
You can feel confident in the comfort of it all, and the staff are particularly highly praised.
With a stunning terrace, subtly vintage architectural touches, and gourmet food and drink, Vinnci Larios Diez is a quintessential European boutique hotel experience.

Inside the rooms at Vinnci Larios Diez is where the historical vibes exit and the contemporary chic arrives.
They’re not trendy, but they have some style. It’s got the vibe of your older sister’s guest room, the one with great taste and two children who just want something that will look nice without going out of fashion.
We respect this, and would be happy to enjoy the grays and whites accented with cute throw pillows and soft velvety chairs.
Design nerds might feel a little understimulated, and sometimes we get the idea that Vinnci Larios Diez is trying to be cooler than it is.
Rooms are on the smaller side, most coming in around 25 metres squared.
The most desirable are either the street-view panoramic options or the exclusive Essence rooms, which get up to 35 square metres with charming terraces.
Anything you choose will be well-stocked with chic little bathrooms. Some options feature bathtubs, and most have rain showers.
You’ll find desks as well as TVs, minibars, and individual climate control.
