A hyper-contemporary box of tiles in Malaga Centro, H10 Croma is a unique hotel worthy of the attention.
H10 is a collection of European, typically Spanish, hotels, each with something just a bit special.
This one is a series of impressive design choices, from the geometric tiles surrounding each balcony to the sustainability-friendly heat pumps.
The outside could read too minimalist, but the rest of the hotel doesn’t hold to it.
The walls are mostly white, sure, but other design elements have the texture, colour, and life of a renovated 18th century mansion.
Of course, it’s big enough that you’re not going to get the same charm as a 20-key antique mansion.
Yet, the common areas are open, breezy spaces with friendly blobby furnishings and plenty of plant life.
All in all, H10 Croma is a lovely reflection of the Malaga vibe. You’ve got your sun, you’ve got your colour, your air, and your painted tiles.

The rooms at H10 Croma are the cosiest spaces, which makes sense.
And we don’t even mean cosy in the euphemistic way, not entirely.
Superior Rooms are indeed on the smallish side at 25 square metres. But, we’ve seen smaller, and the terrace goes a long way to making all the spaces feel roomy.
Everything else is 35+ metres of white walls, ivory curtains, and lovely light wood flooring.
Lest that sound incredibly boring, we’ll bring your attention to H10 Croma’s lovely abstract paintings and gorgeous tiling (have we mentioned the tiling?!).
Cheerful, squishy chairs and couches add comfort and personality.
Really, all options here are very charming, every bathroom sporting views towards the outdoors.
Bed sizes range from twins to kings, all with cushy white linens.
Every room features Nespresso machines, kettles, minibars, robes and slippies, desks and lovely large Smart TVs.

And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Excellent breakfast: with buffet and à la carte options.
- Sunny Lobby Bar: ideal for coffee, snacks, or light work sessions.
- Rooftop restaurant & bar: overlooking the pool, great for parties and sunset drinks.
- La Mundial Bar: on the terrace for fancier dinners and date nights.
- Small plunge pool: for cooling off, plus a functional onsite gym.
Every morning begins with a breakfast buffet at H10 Croma, with plenty of à la carte options available too.
After breakfast, you’ll have to go to the lobby or the rooftop for your sustenance, though we don’t hear anyone complaining.
The Lobby Bar is a cute, sunny space for coffee, snacks and a cocktail or two.
It doesn’t have the wow! factor of the rooftop, but especially if you’re here to get a little work done, it’s a great place to hang.
The Rooftop Restaurant and Bar are on the causal side as well, perched by the pool and ready for a party. They’re both available for rentals.
The ground floor terrace features La Mundial Bar, which offers something a little fancier, for your date nights, proposals and the like.
The plunge pool is more of a fun feature than an exercise spot, but the onsite gym will serve for anyone trying to follow an exercise regime.
How is the neighbourhood? Anything interesting nearby?
- Border location: between Centro Histórico and artsy Soho.
- Walkable to top sights: including museums, Roman theatre, and Alcazaba.
- Close to Malaga Park: for greenery and culture.
- Great access to beaches: like Malagueta or local Huelin.
- Perfect for city explorers: who want both culture and sun.
Situated on the border between Malaga’s Centro Histórico and the artsy Soho district, H10 Croma has an excellent location.
It can get noisy, the closer you move towards Old Town, but you’ll be in walking distance from the majority of the city’s attractions.
A 15-minute stroll will take you to the center of the friendly green Málaga Park.
From there you can head north towards the cluster of Old Town’s museums, including Alcazaba, the Teatro Romano, and the Museo Picasso.
If you prefer your culture a little more contemporary, the Centre Pompidou Málaga is spitting distance from the park, and CAC Málaga is 5 minutes from the hotel.
A bit of beachy fun is less than half an hour in either direction, towards Playa la Malagueta or the more locally-focused Huelin.
This is a great place to hang out if you want to minimize the touristy-ness of it all.
We will say that central Malaga is not the best place for a non-touristic experience. Take in the sun, take the city as it is, and enjoy.
And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
“A modern hotel in a great location, only a few minutes walk from the Malaga central metro station and all the main attractions. Immaculately clean and the staff were really friendly and professional. Bonus is really cool roof top bar….”
“It felt genuinely welcoming. Architecturally- interesting use of space. Room was visually interesting. Lots of little unexpected treats upon our arrival- going the extra mile. Fantastic breakfast, blitzed the breakfast supplied at a 5 star we attended in Malta a week previously. We will be checking this hotel chain in the future when travelling to Europe….”
Some things guests didn’t like:
”The pool was very shallow, but fine for a feet cool-off….”
”Mosquito was in the room, may be because my room was in lower floors….”
