A rather ecclectic option right between Fondaudège and Quinconces, this 5-star boutique hotel isn’t quite what you’d expect from the outside.
Unless, of course, you’d have expected fuzzy chairs and the colour palette of a Provençal hedge witch.
From blobby animal sculptures to some stunning hammered copper, there’s a 50/50 split between whimsy and elegance that’s hard to match.
There’s no lack of luxury, either. Yndo boasts fine linens, culinary delights and a top-notch staff dedicated to ensuring you have a great holiday.
There’s a certain amount of sultry gloom to the common areas that might not work for everyone, especially as the rooms are so bright and cheerful, but that’s a minor quibble.
What are the rooms like?

Rooms are a delight. With plenty of windows and light, airy textiles, there’s none of the heavy romance of the common areas.
Nope, these feel like magical little getaways, each uniquely decorated with hand-picked curios and furnishings.
Though it’s far from typical, we’re completely charmed by the privately accessed Secret Room with its patio.
Cosy rooms start at 20+square metres, which is downright roomy in many other historical boutiques.
Crazy rooms are for anyone who adores the Yndo Hotel design scheme; it’s here that the flair for the dramatic is highest.
Chic suites offer some tucked-away kind of privacy, while the Yndo Suite features stunning views and plenty of space.
Whatever you choose, we’re confident you won’t be disappointed. There are full-circle windows, there are plenty of wood beams, there are skylights positioned over plush soaking tubs.
In every room, you’ll enjoy top quality amenities; TVs and minibars are a given.
Everything with the proper space features a Lavazza coffee machine, and most of the larger rooms offer either a bathtub or a one-of-a-kind shower.

And we’re sure we don’t have to tell you that the wines are mouth-watering, though we will anyway.
The wines are mouth watering. They get accompanied by delectable mini pizzas and grissini, served in the inner courtyard of the property, with the appropriate weather.
This is also a nice setting for breakfast, and when you’re ready to face the day, ask for one of the hotel bikes to get you around the city.
