TL;DR
- Peaceful boutique hotel near the sea: – feels calm and secluded, ideal for a quiet luxury escape.
- Design focus -: the black-and-white interiors, softened by touches of greenery, really draw the eye.
- Destination dining: – food seems carefully crafted and elevates the whole hotel experience.
- City centre: – about a 15-minute walk to the station, then two stops to Copenhagen Central.
- Guest praise: – visitors like the stylish comfort, attentive service, and quietly relaxing atmosphere.
Park Lane Copenhagen – definitely not for the we-like-to-be-in-the-middle-of-things crowd.
It’s in Hellerup, a leafy, affluent northern suburb, walking distance from Øresund.
Park Lane is for whatever crowd likes sea breezes, boutique hotels as destinations in themselves, and some real peace and quiet.
Oh, and interior design too, maybe.
The design is impeccable here. There’s a black and white scheme that manages not to feel like it belongs in the DeVille residence or a Tim Burton film.
Instead, it’s super chic, tempered by plenty of green area and an interior design that feels subtle and comfortable.
The food is superb at Park Lane. We also do think more developed wellness facilities would be a real game-changer here, but that’s about our only complaint.
What are the rooms like?
- 69 rooms: Ranging from Superior guestrooms to spacious specialty suites.
- Elegant design: High ceilings, warm taupes, marble details and large windows.
- Spacious options: Studios, Suites and Apartments ideal for longer stays.
- See each room in detail here
Starting with Superior and Deluxe guestrooms, the smallest you’ll find at Park Lane are at least 17 square metres. This isn’t super spacious, but it’s definitely comfortable.
For more space, upgrade to a Studio or a Suite. They’re all cleanly designed, comfortable, and set up with all the amenities you’ll need.
Speciality Suites and Apartment options add even more space. They’re great for groups and families, and select options feature kitchenettes.
They range from large yet simple Executive Suites to the gorgeously architectural Hilliger Suite, decked out in marble with a fireplace and soaking tub.
The decor is smooth — unobtrusive but luxurious. Leathery couches and velvety chairs come in a warm kind of taupe, which adds warmth to the bright white linens.
High ceilings and large windows make everything feel extra spacious.
All room options include a minibar with coffee and tea capabilities, air conditioning, TVs, and some sort of patio.

And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Breakfast elegance: Restaurant 2900 offers relaxed, refined morning dining.
- Exclusive dining: Parsley Salon’s six-table experience champions local produce.
- Wine & bistro: Rosé Rosé delivers French-inspired cuisine and strong wine selection.
- Low-key facilities: No gym onsite but lovely surroundings encourage outdoor wandering.
Park Lane’s Restaurant 2900 is the place for breakfast. It’s just as clean-lined and chic as the rest of the hotel.
Yet, this restaurant is devoted to the daytime, giving a lighter atmosphere and a dedication to pleasant, relaxed fare that will keep you going all day.
Once dinnertime rolls around, the fancy crowd can head to Parsley Salon. Or, six of them can.
This super-exclusive dining experience is a testament to the region’s exceptional food culture, a menu built from either foraged ingredients or the very best produce from local farms.
They’ve got six tables, so we emphatically suggest booking a table far in advance.
If you don’t snag one of them, though, there’s no need to fret. Just pop over to Rosé Rosé bistro and enjoy their excellent French-inspired cuisine.
If you’re not hungry, their wine bar is an excellent place to have a glass or two.
There’s no gym, but there are plenty of room-deliverable options for recharging after a long day walking around the area’s many parks.
How is the neighbourhood? Anything interesting nearby?
- Seaside suburb: Quiet Hellerup location near beaches and the Øresund Strait.
- Nature access: Close to Jægersborg Dyrehave’s expansive deer park.
- City connection: Easy train access into central Copenhagen.
You might not be near the city, but Hellerup is a lovely, stately suburb, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and boutique shops to occupy you for an afternoon.
The big attractions, though, are natural. The hotel is right next to a lovely park, Øregårdsparken, and about 5 minutes walk to the sea.
Hellurup Beach is about a 15-minute walk, with Strandlund Nudist Beach, the same distance in the opposite direction.
If you like the forest, head directly to Jægersborg Dyrehave. The extensive park’s name translates to ‘deer haven,’ and the animal preserve is the perfect place to spend multiple hours wandering.
When you feel the need for some extra urbanity, the Hellerup station is a 15 -minute walk, and then two stops to Copenhagen Central.
And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
“Beautiful, stylish property with a luxury feel. Very quiet. The reception team were wonderful. I can highly recommend staying here….”
“A simply perfect boutique hotel! It’s simply perfect! Very comfortable and beautifully appointed to a very high standard with exceptional levels of service, located in the beautiful area of Hellerup….”
Some things guests didn’t like:
”It’s a 15 minute walk to the train station at a reasonable pace, so took longer than we thought to reach the city. However, the 2 train stops before Copenhagen Central are in the city and close to attractions so do your research before you go. Needed a mirror in the bedroom above the desk, so could be a dressing table as not ideal to dry your hair in a small bathroom pod.
Extra hooks for the dressing gowns would be useful as the hooks in the bathroom are needed to hang towels….”
”The rooms are a little small but have got everything you need….”
