A Downtown Tulsa icon, Tulsa Club is one of the city’s most prominent historic hotels. Built in 1927 to house a high society social club, this Art Deco gem has a lot of stories in its walls. Taken over by Hilton in the 2010s, it is now part of the brand’s exclusive Curio Collection. Thus, we’re looking at luxury. The common areas are breathtaking, the accommodation full of modern comforts. It all plays with the geometric elegance, deftly merging the past and present, very much hitting the futuristic side of… > Read Our Full Review

The number of truly lovely historic buildings in Downtown Oklahoma can be a welcome surprise, especially when so many are now gorgeous boutique hotels. This one is a 1910 registered Historic Hotel, a soaring construction of ornate stonework in the very center of the city. The common areas are all luxury – marble and shiny things and leather barstools. There are some touches retained from the original building, others are clearly added later. Polished marble and shiny metal fixtures work together well, and the steely gray of it all is… > Read Our Full Review

The Ambassador Hotel, in Midtown Oklahoma City, is on the right side of glam, set in an imposing golden-brick building full of stylish chestnuts and warm grays set off by gold accents. The building was constructed in the mid 1920s, and much of the Art Deco architecture has been preserved. It makes for an authentic elegance that it’s hard not to fall for. Amenities and facilities, however, are quite modern, as part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection there’s an obvious standard of luxury. Midtown is great for a laid-back flâneur visit,… > Read Our Full Review

In the Renaissance neighborhood, near the University of Tulsa, is yet another nationally-recognized historic 1920s hotel. Not as stately as some of the others, The Campbell instead has a super charming neighborhood-y feel. The bricks are a warm, sandy color and the building is low and sprawling rather than towering and impressive. It doesn’t lessen the appeal as much as make it more intimate. Inside, we get personality. There are multiple themes, from the suitcase installation in the lobby to elegant rooms full of antiques and cute rooms full of… > Read Our Full Review

For a hotel in the center of Downtown Tulsa, IHG’s funky boutique line is a nice choice. The location is excellent, the building is modern, but has a certain type of elegance. We just like a red brick building in all its forms, to be honest. And it works well in context, in a city with a century-span of notable architecture, it doesn’t compete, but complements. There’s much that fits very well into the city, from the rock-and-roll urbanism of the guestrooms to whispers of Art Deco in the onsite… > Read Our Full Review

It’s not hard to see why this Downtown Oklahoma City hotel is an attractive option. The building alone is worth the price tag, which is fairly reasonable, all things considered. Comfort, revelry and more are housed in the city’s old Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant, a phenomenal mix of red brick, giant windows and gorgeous stonework. In general, the decor is a mix of southern charm and whitewashed post-industrial hip. It gives uncohesive more than eclectic, in our opinion, but it’s still cute and welcoming. There’s also plenty to do,… > Read Our Full Review

We’d never put Brutalism and holistic wellness in the same box on our own, but we do think this hotel in the Riverview area of Tulsa, OK, might be onto something. The 1953 building is a total hulk, straight-lined and towering, with the interior battling to tone down the intensity. And it actually works. Covering the tall walls with planters, the windowsills with potted succulents and the floors in jute brings the space from imposing to relaxing in the space of a breath. It’s at least 70% aesthetics, we have… > Read Our Full Review

Housed in a lovely 1912 Victorian, Bradford House an independently run Oklahoma City boutique, part of the global hotel group Design Hotels. This means they’ve got some of the unique charisma we love in a hotel, supplemented by a high bar for luxury. It pushes the hotel from the cute more towards the fabulous end of the spectrum. Despite the building, it’s not remotely historical, more like if Wes Anderson was directing an adaptation of Gone With the Wind. So, settle in on the candy-pink couches next to the marble… > Read Our Full Review

This standout piece of 1963 Googie-architecture in Midtown Oklahoma City is an attention-getter of a motel with a design-forward vibe and an easy kind of comfort. The Classen Inn is all-in on the retro, so if some kitsch puts you off, we’d take it off your list. If, however, you’re a fan of bold colors and always dreamed of staying in a kind of real-life Barbie house in Oklahoma, this is the one. It’s an odd yet fitting vibe for an otherwise nondescript section of road, a standout in olive… > Read Our Full Review
