Hotel F6, Helsinki

You’ll find Boutique Hotel F6 on one of Helsinki’s very orderly streets near the harbour, an orderly building with perfectly arranged striped awnings over each window. The interior is equally put-together, with an additional feeling of squishy welcome courtesy of an inner courtyard that looks like it belongs to Emma Mackey in Barbie. There’s a retro charm to the situation, paired with the surreal quality of the floor-lamp-esque outdoor lights and the orangey ‘ground’. Hotel Lilla Roberts

Hotel Lilla Roberts, in Kaartinkaupunki is on the large side for a boutique hotel, something surprisingly common in Helsinki. It’s a vaguely brutalist number that does, we’ll admit, contrast nicely with the more ornamental, government type buildings around it. Once inside though, we’re back in Boutique Hotel World. Spend most of your time then in the beautifully decorated lounges with your fellow guests, or in your homely suite. In many apart-hotels, the latter is pretty much… > Read Our Full Review

Hotel Fabian

In a city like Helsinki where boutique hotels mostly house over 100 rooms, Hotel Fabian is a rare find. It’s a small place with a small crew, and offers the kind of warm and attentive service that larger hotels can’t match. We’re not talking cosy, family-run guesthouse vibes, though. Hotel Fabian is a chic, modern (and eco-friendly) boutique hotel. The lobby is full of bright colours and curvy furniture. Some of the other spaces have an Art Deco-esque commitment to good geometrics, with black and white colourscapes being popular.  … > Read Our Full Review
