- Upscale location – Avenue Louise puts luxury shopping, restaurants and the green spaces of Bois de la Cambre within easy reach.
- Overall picture – best for a modern, independent stay rather than a traditional boutique-hotel experience.
Avenue Louise may have traded much of its historic architecture for contemporary buildings, but it remains one of Brussels’ grandest addresses, and this sleek modern boutique hotel fits right in.
L-Avenue is at the heart of upscale Brussels but you prefer any kind of grand, historic architecture and atmosphere, no part of this hotel fits that bill.
If not though, this is the perfect access to modern stylish luxury in a legendary local address, and at reasonable rates.
Their suites & studios accommodation is all contemporary sophistication, Like with any sensible new build too, everything is roomy, bright and open.
It feels larger than your average boutique hotel and somewhat more anonymous than most. L-Avenue is for those of you who value privacy and independence.

As a suites-only hotel, there’s a decidedly apartment-like feel to L-Avenue.
That is, if your apartment had paid staff available to cater to your every need.
It’s a minimalist, magazine-feature kind of space, many of the suites with gorgeous views out towards Avenue Louise.
Decor is a lot of white, not necessarily inspired, but definitely easy to look at. Boldly coloured cushions and furnishings add a bit of flair.
The smallest are only just over 20 square metres, best for a couple or solo traveller. Once past there, we jump almost up to 40 square metres.
Some suites are equipped with sofa beds, making them perfect for a family. Others have lovely little balconies.
Whatever you choose, it’s well-equipped. All suites feature full kitchens, TVs, climate control, and typically a comfortable place to work or lounge.
What are prices like?
And what’s the food like? Any facilities we should know about?
- Breakfast – available for an additional cost, while all-day snacks and drinks provide casual dining options.
- Hotel bar – a small, relaxed space for snacks and afternoon drinks, with a patio opening in summer.
- Full kitchens – in-room cooking facilities reinforce the residential feel and make longer stays particularly convenient.
- Fitness room – a well-equipped gym rounds off the facilities.
Breakfast is provided at a cost, and while there’s no formal Restaurant Restaurant, L-Avenue is quite good on snacking stations.
It’s nothing really to write home about, none of the food is super exceptional.
Rather, it’s perfect for making you feel coddled between visits to Brussel’s best eateries.
The hotel bar offers a selection of snacks available all day, in a cute if small-ish space.
In summer, the patio opens, offering guests outdoor space for lounging and snacking and sipping on afternoon beverages.
We love a hotel that sticks to accommodation and does it well, especially if they’ve provided full kitchens.
A residential sort of luxury holds true here.
This is emphasized by the well-equipped fitness room and the conference room. Work, play, exercise, they’re all available at L-Avenue.

And what about the reviews? What did other guests think?
Some things guests liked:
”A truly exceptional modern hotel: ideally situated for my purposes (close to the Midi station but also near shops and restaurants, and close to public transport), with a spacious, comfortable and well-appointed room (with kitchenette), and a grand view across part of the city), very helpful and friendly staff, and an amazing breakfast, all for a good price…..”
Some things guests didn’t like:
”Parking access too narrow. Gym not well separated from the reception desk, which makes it odd to use and noisy for the hotel reception area. need a glass wall at least….”
